Chapin was an art dealer. The Corys are wondering what the weirdness is.
Donna intends to sell her paintings. Marley doesn't think she ought but Donna insists. The appraisers are coming over. Marley's not to tell Peter. Jake called and invited himself over.
Sally wants to set a new date.
Kathleen has to go to work. Cass wanted her to stay in bed with him a while longer. She was almost convinced when the phone rang to tell Cass that an emissary from Cecile would be dropping by 30 Meadow Lane to see Cass today. Kathleen's not thrilled. Cass has visions of undying official gratitude. Cass said Kathleen needn't stay she can go to the complex. She told him to persevere with Dee.
The sooner the better says Catlin. Friday. He refuses to tell her where they're going for their honeymoon. She won't know what to pack. He says she should pack everything then. She doesn't want Kevin to think they're nipping out on him again. He cleared it with Kevin. But Kevin's taken an oath so she won't be able to worm it out of him. She's determined to find out. He bet $5 she won't. She's to ask Peter for vacation time. She sees no difficulty there. (Are we spending our honeymoon at home then? Where would we go?)
Donna told Peter she was going to store the paintings. She asked about his magazine and feelings for Sally and whether he blamed her for breaking them up. Peter says Sally's changed and so has he. She hates Carl. "He left us with practically nothing." "No he hasn't. We still have each other." (Ick. Ick. I hate Peter. How UGH. What a thing to say. She appreciated it though. Donna HATES coping. She wants to live normally again. She's determined to get their money from Carl. (Commercial.) Donna let the appraiser take the paintings away for appraisal. Marley came in and joked about it. Donna: Well it's not funny. You have no idea how painful this is for me. First I had to sell my jewellery to have this room redecorated and then to give up the pictures that Daddy loved so much. It's as if I'm selling my soul bit by bit. Jake arrived. He wants Marley to help him pick out the wedding photos for Tom & Carter. Donna dashed off to "confer with the cook" impressing Jake no end.
Tom and Carter in bed in Chicago. Discussing not going out. And the baby. Carter's looking forward to when she begins to show. Ick. Worse than Peter even. He has to find a new job. They don't want to think about it now. Or go sightseeing.
Kathleen and Sally at the complex. Kathleen wants to talk to Peter. Liz dashed in and said Jamie wanted to see her. Sally told them she and Catlin intend to get married on Friday. Liz is thrilled and determined to get everything reset. Kathleen too is thrilled. Peter arrived. Liz told him Sally had news. Sally tried to tell him but Liz just kept on herself and said they were getting married. Peter said that's great. Dramatic music.
Perry's worried about Nancy. He thinks Carl didn't care enough about him to dash to the hospital. Mac thinks he does and that Perry could get him to release Nancy & Rachel. He asked him about Leslie Chapin. Perry says he's been dead a while.
Donna has plumbing difficulties. Jake volunteered to tighten her gasket. Marley left to visit Nancy. Jake saw fit to remove his shirt. Donna doesn't know what a wrench is. She clothed him in one of Peter's ("it might be a little tight"). Shirts, not wrenches.
Liz gushingly thanked Peter on Sally's behalf. (Why doesn't she marry him herself. "Sally thought it was WONDERFUL." Grrr.) Kathleen left. Liz really doesn't like her. She preferred Cecile (who was at least professional. She says.) Liz left to make wedding arrangements. Sally sticks up for Kathleen, as she should. Peter asked if she and Catlin could postpone the wedding a couple of weeks. He explained that they'd be terribly busy on the magazine so's to get an edge on the competitors. He said in effect if she insisted on getting married he'd have to replace her. Sally took this with bad grace and told him she'd get married. She didn't throw fits but she looked mad. Fair weather fiancé?
The appraiser called Donna and told her the paintings were forgeries. She trundled over to Mac's and told him so. She figures Carl stole the real ones.
Marley stopped by Cory to talk to Peter.
Catlin came by the Complex to see Sally. He thanked Peter for extricating him from Wyoming. Sally arrived. Peter left saying Evelyn (projected replacement) was nowhere to be found and he'd talk to her later. Catlin saw Sally looking daggers at Peter and asked what Peter meant. Sally told him about the magazine. Catlin looked at her (you could see the wheels go 'round) and said they could postpone the wedding and she could keep her job. She protested but he quelled her saying he loved her forever and a couple of weeks wouldn't make much difference. She just lit up and threw herself into his arms.
Kathleen went to Cecile's to check out the emissary. Cass and Dee were not there. Wallingford was. Something approaching a dishy blonde appeared at the door from Cecile for Cass. Kathleen was eager to take a message and get rid of her but she is for Cass and Cass alone.
Oh and Tony told Cass to come up with marvellous lineage for Dee. And Wallingford figured Kathleen wouldn't be too thrilled by a resurgence of things Cecilian and told Cass so. Cass doesn't seem to believe him.
Hannah and I entertained ourselves with visions of Sally holding Kevin by the ankles and shaking it out of him. This scourge of gambling. And Sally being strange about clothes again.
I've just realised Catlin will be spending an awful lot of time at the hospital. One hopes they make the security guards keep their clothes on. Not that that would stop the likes of Jake by any means. I figure with the added impediment of a tie and no one to help him out of his clothes Catlin will behave himself (unlike Alice who goes wild.)
