ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

June 5, 1985

The decision is not Felicia's to make. Kathleen asked about Michaud. All Felicia knows is he's coming soon. Edouard was romance itself. Monsieur to the world but Edouard to her. Felicia told Kathleen if she got this job that could be the end of her and Cass. Kathleen wants to go and talk to Jamie.

Cass told Jamie all about Lesoleil. Kathleen included.

Dee interior decorator. Carter can't graduate unless he takes the trig exam. He's going to talk to the principal. The future looks bleak. He hasn't told Tom for fear of her blood pressure. Tom appeared to ask where he was sneaking off to. [She's VERY pregnant]

Larry and MJ yelled at each other for the benefit of the world in general. He said he wanted his job back. She told him to leave. In normal voices they discussed undercover stuff. Larry wants to get moving. MJ said the captain was calling of the investigation. Larry refuses to back down on it. She says if he goes out now he could get killed. Willa's stuff was unlisted stuff. Not illegal. Larry's mad. He's going to continue investigating for the sake of the kids. She said they shouldn't talk there at the station. they'll meet at her house later.

Felicia arrived to visit with Gerhard. Daphne was there. She biffed off. They discussed Monsieur and Lesoleil and romance. Monsieur MADE Felicia Gallant. Felicia suggested a Lesoleil for men. We'll look into it.

Jamie got cross. Cass told him how ambitious Kathleen was. He said he wouldn't be losing Kathleen anyway because although it wasn't official yet he [Cass] was assured of the position. Jamie congratulated him. Cass told him how much Kathleen respected him [Jamie]. Kathleen wandered in saying "If I have to work with Cass Winthrop ONE MORE DAY I'LL -- " She saw Cass; Cass made a graceful escape. She complained about him at length. Jamie taxed her with Lesoleil and not telling. She told him how set on the other job she was. He told her that Cass already had it.

Carter told Tom he was going to go to school for a bit and then they'd move. She's looking forward to graduation. They love each other. He left. She's happy. Dee advised her to be happy on the couch. Dee found a job in the paper. Lily came over. They told her they were moving. Tom feels great. Dee biffed off. Tom and Lily like her. Quinn appeared and was told about moving. She wants to get to know Dee.

The captain told Larry to obey orders. Willa's stuff is completely peculiar to Bay City. DRUG LAB IN TOWN says Larry.

Dee tried for a waitressing job at the Plains Motel. They told her she looked too etiquetted. She entered into this one run-on sentence [one breath] explaining everything about how she'd been a punk and done this for her uncle and needed money and had been getting dunked at a carnival, etc.. Bewildered they told her to come back in an hour looking right and they'd see.

Back off, Larry. Be careful. Larry raved about the mole on the department. Captain told him not to jump to conclusions.

An exquisite nameless gift came for Felicia from Michaud. She went to find Lily. Daphne and Gerhard approve of her. Kathleen called to discuss a disturbing rumor she'd heard. Daphne denied all. Kathleen told her Cass was spreading it and was saying if he were head he'd insist on staying in Bay City. [That's where Michaud wants but it's a SECRET.]

MJ told Kathleen not to play games. Kathleen left. Larry arrived. He's going undercover at the Plains Motel tonight. Dale's still missing. He blames himself. She said she'd stay by the phone in case he needed her. Jamie arrived. Larry left.

The Todds are moving. Lots of stuffed animals. Touching father-son farewell.

Felicia found Lily at the Todds'. We're a little depressed about Monsieur and wondering about Cass and Kathleen.

MJ is abstracted. Jamie asked her to go to the Plains Motel. She'd rather a quiet evening at home. He suggested his place. She suggested hers. He doesn't want to run into Kathleen. She said she had to stay and work. He did believe her and accused her of not wanting to be with him. He's confused. He thinks she dithers. He left.

Tom and Carter went off to tour the bedroom. Quinn voiced her qualms in regard to Dee. She thinks there's something wrong in a single girl living with a married couple. Lily assured her Dee was jimdandy. Dee appeared ... dressed for the Plains Motel [tube top, leather skirt] on her way out. Quinn was not thrilled. Dee rushed off determined to make the right impression for a job.

Kathleen found MJ eating chocolate cake and accused her of being depressed. MJ told her about Jamie. Kathleen said she should've moved in with him or made some form of commitment. MJ said she loved him but the timing was all wrong. Kathleen told her briskly timing had nothing to do with it and she should make some decisions knowing how she felt about him. MJ told her in essence to dry up stop dispensing advice like a broken cigarette machine and salvage her relationship with Cass. GO TO CASS.

Daphne came to Cass' door. Cass: Daphne. Daphne: hello, Cass. [towel-clad. Homeric epithet?] Cass: I'm soaking wet. Daphne: I can see that. Cass: I just got out of the shower. She invited herself in. She asked what he had to say for himself.

Dee loves the job. She asked about a job for Carter. They might have one. She picked up the other girl's pen inadvertently when she went to serve Larry. The other girl worried when she couldn't find it.

A toast to the new house. Quinn tried to broach the subject of Dee to Carter but Lily directed the young Todds to bed and tried to get the old folks out to leave them alone. Quinn told Lily and Grant she didn't approve of Dee's dress and she wanted to talk to her and possibly insist she move out [in which event she [Quinn] would pay the rest of the rent and hire a Tomsitter]. Lily fled. Grant told her to leave the kids be. She kept on about how single girl living with a married couple was WRONG. She tried to talk to Carter but Grant shut her up and sent her off. Grant and Carter discussed the missed exam. We are not looking forward to graduation day.

Daphne taxed Cass [now robe-clad] with Kathleen's accusations. She expressed an interest in seeing the plan's he'd made for Lesoleil in Bay City "Since [he'd] already done all the work." He said tomorrow. She said tonight. He said he had a meeting with another job offerer but later this evening? She agreed and left. He called Wally in urgent need of speech with a friend in city planning. He rushed out still robed and returned in a minute.

Larry complimented Dee on her pen. She gave it to him. Top and all. The girl saw. "That's it. He has my pen. We have to get it back before he finds out what's in it." [They know he's a cop.]
