ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

February 5, 1986

Jake stomped off in search of Victoria.

Neal attacked Vic in the library.

Cass told Kathleen he'd returned in the nick of time and she had to be home for Valentine's Day. She put him off.

Chris did the deed. They can but wait and pray. Rachel told Mac he'd be all right.

MJ is annoyed with Kathleen. Kathleen has always been a pain but she loves her. Cass sympathises. They are agreed that she has to learn the world is imperfect. He asked about Fayez. She knows only the barest. He asked for the police file. She gave in. All she knows about Neal is he's cute and Corydom precludes all suggestion of villainy.

Victoria did something not nice to Neal. He sounds pained but that's what one gets for carrying on in a library. Neal: didn't you recognize my voice? Vic: NO. I did not. I thought you were some kind of weirdo. Neal: oh, Victoria. Vic: and maybe I was right. Neal: oh, come on. Well you know actually I should be happy about this. Victoria: why? Neal: well at least you're recognizing me and responding to me physically. It's moving in the right direction. Vic: keep dreaming. Neal: what happened to your face? [Her injury has manifested itself on her forehead. I don't know what she really did but she done it gestern.] Vic: I cut myself shaving. Neal: AW. Lots of violence in your life. Vic: never a dull moment. Neal: that's what I like to hear. Vic: what are you doing here? Neal: well I was going by and I saw this fantastic hairdo going up the steps to the library and I said "oh, I'm going to go in and do some research." Now — Victoria Love. What does she crave? Adventure? Da da da da da da. Mystery? Romance? Vic: wouldn't you like to know. Neal: as a matter of fact I would. Vic: give that back to me right now. Neal: listen, I'm already in love with your body, I figured this will help me fall in love with your mind. Vic: I don't want you to be in love with my mind or any other part of me so just give — Neal: shall we dance? Come on [overlapping], tomorrow night at the Black Beetle it'll be terrific. Say yes and I'll give it back. Say yes. Say yes da da da dum da da — say yes. Vic: [overlapping] no, come on just give that back, NEAL GIVE THAT BACK TO ME. COME ON NEAL LET GO LET GO LET GO. LET GO OF ME. I'm not kidding. Neal: OK. Da da da dum da da — SAY YES. Vic: YES. Neal: I love when you agree. That was wonderful. 95466* Vic: Neal will you stop it? Neal: WELL IT'S THE BOOK THAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR — Vic: SSH. We're in a library. Calm down. Neal: oh I forgot we're in a library. Vic: SSH. calm down. Neal: you know you might want to play professional basketball you've got a great jump. Centre might be your position. Her book proved to be on etiquette. She was embarrassed and he teased her until he realized it. She got prickly and said she didn't think it would work. He said he'd see her tomorrow night at 9. She said to make it 10. Someone is following them.

Kathleen's being therapeuted. She was told Cass' clinic was very experimental and a long shot. She can't give up hope yet.

Ada asked Nancy why she didn't marry Chris. Nancy was saved when Rachel started laughing at Jamie being Tarzan in the trees. Chris won't give her the drug until he absolutely has to. Rachel came out of it and they soothed her. Rachel is determined that Mac should survive.

Michael ran into Sally trying to break into a car. She said the locks were frozen. He offered to help but she said she was good at it and didn't want company. He said it was his car. Oops. He used his keys to unlock it. They discovered they had similar rental cars. He offered her lunch but she declined apologizing profusely for the mistake. He wanted to see her again but she fled.

Maisie was pleasant to Victoria and offered herself as a friendly ear. Jake appeared and dragged her off to watch television.

Nancy thought about Mac providing a ticket for her long ago trip to New York. Suddenly he had a bad reaction and broke out all of a sweat. Doctors were summoned. Mac's heart is attacking.

Vic tried to make polite conversation [ha. ha]. Jake is mad. They're at KBAY. He yelled at her a lot. He showed her her thieving back one frame at a time.

Michael found Sally in Smiley's. She asked him to join her. She's on her way out. He said he used to live in Bay City. She told him she worked for Lesoleil. Enter Brittany. She suggested Kevin keep up his riding. Sally left. Michael asked if she [Brittany] always had that effect on people.

The Corys are sure Mac will make it. Chris was forced to admit that he'd given Mac his drug in order to prevent Dr Longo giving him a sedative.

Britt put Michael to work. He asked what was between her and Sally. All she would say was she was married to her ex-husband. Or separated or something. He was surprised that Sally was married. He asked when Donna was coming home. She said Donna wasn't too friendly with the help and told him he could stay in the room above the stables. He should get along just fine if he does his work and keeps in his place. Exit Britt. He thought about Donna and promising never to leave her and inviting her upstairs. She gave in and he carried her up. [Here There and Everywhere.]

Neal joined the Corys at the hospital. He's sure Chris will be alright. Enter Cass. He wants to chat with Neal about Fayez. Neal strongly denied even recognizing the name. Exit Cass with Neal's good wishes for a successful Fayez-search.

Jake showed Victoria the disappearing necklace. She offered feeble explanations. He told her exactly what she'd done. She wouldn't admit to anything. He's worried about her. A message from Marley rushed in just as Jake seemed to be making headway. Victoria left in a temper.

Dr Longo yelled at Chris. Chris maintained that it was Mac's only chance. Longo told him his career was over especially if Mac died.

Michael told Loni he wouldn't leave until he'd seen the person he came to see who is in Europe.

Vic and Neal's tail Hector met with Fayez and said Neal was supplying Victory with fancy clothes and a foreign sports car.

Mac is in a bad way.

* That is not the Dewey Decimal number for Etiquette. 954.66 would apparently be about the history and geography of Kashmir. Etiquette should be somewhere in the 300s. For example Miss Manners has a book under 395. Maybe Neal (or I?) dropped the leading 3?
