Mary told a reporter about Mikey so they could try to find his family. He wanted to talk about her amnesia and the fact that she had abandoned four children to go to Paraguay with That Old Carrot. Mary got mad. Jason, listening at the door, burst in and held the reporter up against the wall. Mary got him to let the guy go. She requested that he write his story about Mikey and only Mikey. The reporter left. Mary thanked Jason politely. He said he'd come by to complain that Scott had threatened to attack him legally.
Victoria was thrilled. She was eager to improve the hospital. It seemed like fun. Scott warned her it would involve responsibility. She promised to pay attention.
Matthew wants Kevin to come too. Mitch was suspicious. Matthew said Kevin was his best friend in the world and he [Kevin] needed to study with him [Matthew] in order to get a scholarship to go to college. Just for the week before exams. Matthew let Mitch know that Kevin desperately needed the help because he didn't have life handed to him on a platter like the Corys and that he [Matthew] would have asked Mac and Rachel for the same help. Mitch asked Felicia what she thought. Felicia left it up to him.
Mary pretty much told Jason it was his own fault. John came in looking for Jason. A nurse brought Mikey in to Mary. Jason left. John stared. Mary introduced Mikey to him. John turned on his heel and left.
Felicia wasted paper. She wrapped herself in a white feather boa to get inspiration. She looked up virility in her thesaurus and was surprised to find lustyhood. She settled on grit. Lisa phoned from abroad to say she was coming home in two days. Felicia promised not to tell Jamie. Mitch came in and said he'd decided to give Matthew a chance. Felicia suggested they discuss it in the bedroom.
Matthew phoned Kevin from a payphone and told him to stay cool until he arrived. Matthew is skipping school.
Jason wandered into Mary's Place looking for Scott. Vince invited him over for dinner tonight. Jason didn't try particularly hard to refuse. Scott came in and told Jason he should know better than to come in there. Jason told him he and Vince were friends. Scott didn't like it. John came in and told Jason he was sick of having to follow him around. He wants to know about the barn dance. He says they don't have the money. Jason said it would raise money.
Mary fed Mikey soup. He wouldn't take more than one spoonful. Vicky came in and said she wanted to buy Mikey some new clothes. She asked how come Mary couldn't keep Mikey. Mary said it was because he had to do with her job. I didn't really understand. Doctor Undler, hospital administrator, came in and said Mikey had to be released. If no one has claimed him by Friday he has to go to child welfare.
Mary returned home to Vince. Kissing. He asked about Mikey. She broke down and cried about it. She was surprised to see Vince setting the table for three. She was pleased until the guest arrived and it was Jason.
Cheryl locked up. Scott raved about Europe. It made him think of Dawn.
Vicky ran into Felicia in the hospital. She tried to discourage her from taking Sam a huge dessert from Tops [Felicia said she'd made certain he wasn't on a restricted diet] and from even visiting him at all. Felicia was prepared to be civil until Vicky asked after Lisa. Then she told her her tactics were slimy and unattractive and everyone would know what she was up to soon enough, even Jamie. She told her Lisa was returning Friday. Vicky said something about the daughter Felicia had never had and Felicia attacked. She told Vicky she'd lose and it was sad that she had everything in the world and all she could think to do was control people she liked and destroy the people she hated. She warned her she [Vicky] wasn't very bright and she [Felicia] was more than a match for her. The one blow Felicia delivered that seemed to land anywhere was the remark that Vicky was just like That Old Carrot.
Mary coped. Jason complained that he didn't have many friends. Vince told him he needed the love of a good woman. Jason agreed.
Kevin tore the room apart looking for something. When Matthew came in Kevin was holding a switchblade. Matthew made him put it away. Kevin said he was tired of being intimidated. Matthew advised caution. He made Kevin come with him.
When Vince left the room Mary chewed Jason out. Out in the hall Vince heard Mary ask how he could accept McKinnon hospitality after what he'd done.
John entered a sleeping Mikey's room and gazed at him.
