ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

September 2, 1987

Lisa's good mood is unwavering. She came into work after a few days off. Felicia was glad to see her. Lisa sang Jamie's praises and hinted about the nature of their relationship. Felicia asked her to be more specific.

Amanda looked into layout and saw Kevin, who is supposed to be some kind of nerd but I think he's rather sweet. Amanda was unthrilled. Julie Ann was about to find out why when Cass ambushed them. He asked what the surprise was.

Michael came and knocked on the door so Victoria put the photo away without showing Donna. But then Michael yelled at her because she was supposed to have been at work three hours ago, so she went to take it out of her purse again. But Donna confessed that she'd lured Victoria to lunch where she had become unwell. Victoria told her not to lie for her. Donna left, hurt. Michael asked why Victoria hadn't come to work. She said she hadn't wanted to hurt him but she didn't see any other way and dipped her hand into her purse.

Lisa told Felicia that she and Jamie were lovers and she was blissfully happy. Jamie has restored her sense of worth. Felicia asked if Jamie planned to move in. Lisa said she didn't think she was ready for that.

Julie Ann looked in and saw Kevin, thereby comprehending all. She refused to tell Cass and Amanda which him she had intended Amanda to see. Amanda chased her. Mac appeared, wanting to talk to Cass about something peculiar. Apparently Cass cut one of his acquaintances, who felt slighted and complained to Mac. Cass said he'd been preoccupied. Mac suggested he take time off. Cass refused. He said he'd apologise to Charlie. They decided to lunch at Tops. Zack came by and said he couldn't go to New York. Mac suggested he send Scott.

Julie Ann kept on about layout.

The problem with Lisa's cooking is she doesn't understand the concept of Tabasco. Enter Jamie. He embraced Felicia, which was rather sweet, actually. She sent him and Lisa to lunch. Chad appeared, looking listless. The hospital called from Chicago for him. Felicia viewed him with concern. MJ came looking for Chad and was likewise concerned.

Michael accused Victoria of being cryptic. He was unhappy that she'd hurt Donna's feelings. She put the photo back in her purse and became conciliatory. He told her he was having business problems and left. Victoria brooded.

Chad put MJ aside and tried to avoid her questions. She followed him into the elevator when he said someone had died. Enter Mac and Cass. Cass went to help himself to a drink and found Mitch's envelope of crash photos. Felicia caught him studying them.

Amanda is enjoying work. She is doing reception while Michelle's on lunch. Julie Ann found she'd been writing Sam's name, over and over again. The nerd from layout came up and on to Amanda. Another guy appeared and asked her to lunch. When Kevin protested, the other guy snapped his suspenders and moved on. Amanda rolled her eyes. Kevin was persistent. Rachel came by and, seeing the crowd, accused Amanda of not taking work seriously. Kevin fled.

Victoria reflected on the events of the past few days. Peter came in. She showed him the latest photo. He insisted it had to be doctored. This only pushed Victoria farther in the other direction. She announced her intention to find the person who had sent her the photos. He tried to deflect her when she thought of That Old Carrot. She considered the possibility of John and then asked Peter if he'd taken the pictures. He lied his head off. She apologised. Michael and Donna came in. Michael insisted Victoria come to work. A square argument broke out. Peter tried to take Victoria's side. Michael opposed him. Donna put in a couple of ineffectual comments. Victoria was happy to cling to Peter.

MJ insisted Chad let her drive and asked what was wrong. He said she didn't care. She said in spite of everything she cared and had come to thank him for helping her when everything fell apart with Adam. He thrashed about and talked about his mother. She always smelled like lilies of the valley. He didn't like her being a prostitute. MJ held him in a comforting embrace while he wept.

Amanda assured Rachel she wasn't goofing around. Michelle came back and Amanda headed off for a lunch appropriate to her salary. Zack appeared just as Scott phoned to say he could go to New York.

Cass had to wrest the bill from Mac's grasp. He went back to the bar to sneak a peek at the photos. Felicia dashed up to stop him. Mac went back to the office.

Sam lay in wait for Mac and apologised for everything most humbly. Rachel watched Mac warn him not to let it happen again.

Jamie urged Lisa to find something to occupy her time. She said Adam wanted her to come back to the police force, but since she had lost her psychic ability she couldn't imagine what he wanted her for. Jamie didn't like the idea anyway. He kissed her goodbye.

Cass agreed to endorse the cheque. The fund-raiser's on Friday.

Michael was suspicious of Peter's motives. He told him he wanted him to leave. Everyone opposed him, but Michael was firm. Victoria told Peter she had to do something.

Felicia tried to press Cass into service. He fled.

Sam crawled. Mac retired to his office. Sam apologised to Rachel. She went into Mac's office. Mac may regret having hired Sam. He decided to investigate him more thoroughly.

Peter told Victoria there was no point in confronting Donna, because she would only deny everything. Victoria (subtly helped by Peter) made up her mind to show the photos to Michael.
