Zack managed to get Catlin five more minutes with Brittany. She asked Catlin if he really loved her or was just saying that because he knew she would never get out of jail.
It's Cheryl Jean. ["I knew it, nothing to it, we're so undeniable. Sweet honey, we're on the money we've got a natural love. I never dreamed I'd ever think my heart was reliable. We've got it you can spot it we've got a natural love."] Cheryl suggested they go back to the restaurant so Pops wouldn't be mad.
Victoria ministered to Reginald. He called for Dr Bowden, the police, and Mary.
Scott and Cheryl thought they saw something. Scott said it looked like a man running. Cheryl was scared. They set out for Mary's Place.
Vince arrived in out of breath after his run with Prometheus. He phoned Maisie [panting a lot] and said he'd be in as soon as possible.
Catlin told Brittany he'd loved Sally but he couldn't seem to get out of the loving and losing pattern. [Evan, Brittany, Sally.] This caused him to be extra specially hesitant about committing himself. Now he can't bear the thought of losing her again. [I cannot spell how this makes me feel.] She was thrilled. He swore to spring her and to take care of her and their son. His support makes her brave and happy. He neglected to tell her the Corys didn't have the baby.
Rachel chewed Mitch out. Matthew tried to explain. Rachel was unreasonable. Mac intervened and told her to listen to reason. He bought time from the officer in charge.
Dr Bowden patched up Reginald. Lieutenant Samuels investigated. Reginald insisted someone wanted him dead and he would save Victoria's life over and over again if necessary. [He says he opened the terrace doors, sat down, saw a man with a raised arm and shoved Victoria out of the way. If he didn't know that the man was going to throw a knife in Victoria's direction, what made him push her?] Peter appeared and asked what was going on. Victoria told him someone had tried to kill grandpa. Samuels confirmed it. Peter plunked for Michael. Victoria did not appreciate it. Samuels asked who else had a motive.
Scott and Cheryl beat Vince back. Vince phoned Maisie to say his car wouldn't start and he was taking the bus. Cheryl told Scott she wished the whole world knew they were in love. He said Vince would kill him. She said Vince would never hurt anyone.
Zack told Jamie and Felicia about Brittany. Jamie said he didn't care if Brittany had shot Peter on purpose, because he [Peter] had driven her to it. [If that's acceptable logic, I would say she drove him to the driving.] A lot of Brittany's friends have been subpoenaed by the prosecution. They agreed that Peter was horrible and sadistic and had never loved Brittany. Cheryl cruised past with coffee and said she'd heard otherwise.
Peter seems proud of the fact that his father had a lot of enemies. The police found footprints and pieces of cloth on a bush. Catlin stomped in to claim the baby. Peter ordered him out, saying he was the legal father. Reginald appeared.
Matthew told Rachel Mitch had saved him. Mitch explained himself. Rachel told him he wouldn't take her son from her, but an outburst from Matthew caused her to drop the charges against him. The police folded up and went away. Rachel told Mitch she'd done it for Matthew's sake, not his [Mitch's].
Reginald overruled Peter's protests. He ordered Catlin to get the baby out of there.
Scott and Cheryl told Zack that they had overheard Peter and Donna talking and he said he loved Brittany. Cheryl said Brittany was nice -- the only one in the Love family who had been nice to the McKinnons. [What price Marley?] Scott took offence. Zack was less than thrilled.
Reginald was quite cruel to Peter. He retracted all of the paternal things he had said in the hospital. Frank Bowden left antibiotics. Samuels produced Henry, a witness to a man running away.
Vince arrived at Mary's Place at odds with Bay City's public transportation.
Matthew and Mac had a chat.
Catlin took the baby over to Brittany in jail. Zack appeared. His news is not good. Brittany fretted. He asked them to produce witnesses in her favour.
Rachel thanks Mitch has kidnapped Matthew EMOTIONALLY. Max said Mitch hadn't taken him away from her in any sense, and he thought that she was projecting the extent of her emotional involvement with Mitch onto Matthew. She denied it. He told her they had to make amends for nearly jailing an innocent man.
Henry described Vince. The Loves accepted the identification happily [even those who hadn't plotted]. Reginald looked mournful [haha] and said Vince was the only enemy he had who was capable of murder.
