A comedy show of it's finest form: The Bob Newhart Show was about a Chicago psychologist who spent the good part of his day trying to help his whacked-out patients solve their emotional problems. The interaction between psychologist Newhart and his patients produced some very entertaining comedy sketches. The show first aired on September 16, 1972 and last aired on August 26, 1978. All in the Family was a situation sitcom that centered around Archie Bunker, a man who held strong bigoted views ranging from homosexuals to Mexicans. The show also explored controversial topics such a rape and death. Archie wife's, Edith, whom he referred to as the dizzy "Dingbat", somehow put up with Archie's bigoted views whereas his son-in-law, Meathead, had no patience over Archie's ignorance. As a result the series saw many a confrontation between Archie and Meathead. All in the Family first aired on January 1971 and last aired on September 1979.

WESTERN TV SHOWS:

Wild Wild West ran for four seasons, and featured the adventures of two Secret Service Agents working for President Ulysses S. Grant. The two men were James West, former Union soldier and current man-of-action, gunman, and womanizer. His partner was Artemus Gordon, a former con man and master of disguise and invention. ADVENTURE:

Daktari centered on Doctor "Daktari" Marsh Tracy who run an animal study center and veterinary hospital on the African plains. Animal lovers were treated to scenes with domesticated pets such as Clarence, the lion, or Judy the chimp along with an assortment of less friendly wild animals.
