Nicky Gumbel's vision is to see 100 million having taken Alpha by 2020. So far we are at 15 million. His vison came with a method to achieve it: Global Alpha Training. In India and several African countries it has already been far more effective than could have been expected. God is at work, and it is the bringing new souls into His Kingdom that is the goal; Alpha is merely a tool. We spoke to 40 local church leaders at each of two four-day events in Freetown where our team of visiting speakers complemented the local Alpha team. These leaders were equipped through these events to stage Alpha events to train leaders for Alpha courses. Each course has the potential for spawning several new courses as the Word spreads.
