The final three kilometers of the Mdaabii loop was a much more moderate walk through the woods. At the junction we with
the inland coastal trail, we turned east for a two kilometer moss walk as Katharina wanted to check out the
famous suspension bridge over the White River. The view down into the White River gorge is quite dramatic and we
spent some time exploring the area.

The return was a straight forward walk along the coastal trail which varied between easy travel and annoying boot
sucking mud as we traversed back across the Hattie Cove swamp detour. We stopped for lunch on the pretty beach at
Playter Harbour, and then hiked the remaining distance under a light rainfall which stoopped as we reached the
trailhead. A second lunch was consumed on the back porch of the closed visitor center building before we loaded back
into the car for the two day drive back to Ottawa.
