June 13, 2022 - Bunnyrabbit Lake
A bright full moon overnight turned into a misty morning by the lake. Silver Peak was hidden, but as the sun rose and
burned off the fog, our high point objective for the trip came into view. Met several grouse along the trail again,
however these were not aggressive like the one yesterday. The Silver Peak junction came quicker than expected and
we dropped our packs here for the short side trip to the top of Killarney.
Sunrise. Again, this is why we do this.

Pausing for yet another view
Round trip to the top and back was just over an hour. Travel was amazingly easy once shed of the weight we had been
carrying for the last five days. Views from the top were spectacular. To the south we could see all the way to
the waters of Georgian Bay, and to the North we could see the infamous Sudbury smoke stacks.

If you look carefully through the smog, you can see the famous Sudbury smokestack
The remainder of the trail to Bunnyrabbit lake was fairly easy going with a few kilometers of an old roadbed prior to
climbing back up onto the ridge. We arrived at camp in time for afternoon tea and were happy that we had booked the
closer campsite on the lake this day.
