All of our furniture is made of solid black Cherry and we use Birdseye Maple for accents. Other woods may be available upon request. We use mortise and tennon, as well as dovetails for most of our joinery. This allows for the natural expansion and contraction of the wood to avoid splitting and warping. Black Cherry ages beautifully to a warm red-brown and gets better over time. A hand rubbed tung oil finish is not only satiny smooth to the touch, but will stand up to daily use. Table tops are lacquered for extra durability.
