Catherine married Robert John (Bertie) Thorne son of William Robert Thorne and Mary Ellen Doidge about 1920 in Michigan, USA. Robert was born on 12 Sep 1900.

They had the following children:

1075. Johnny Noblett [scrapbook] (Elizabeth "Bessie" Hollingsworth , Edward (Ned) , Nicholas , John , Daniel , Samuel , Thomas , Thomas , Henry ) was born about 1931 in Hollyfort, Gorey, County Wexford. He died about 1980 in Hollyfort, accidentally shot self.

Johnny married Amy about 1955 in Hollyfort Church of Ireland. Amy was born about 1935 in The Gap (Wicklow Mts).

Had an opportunity to meet Amy during my visit to County Wexford and Hollyfort, Mangan House, in September 2005. Amy invited my wife Toni and I into her house and we talked for quite awhile about the family and the house. Amy was very proud of the fact she was still cooking every day with the same stove she brought with her from âThe Gapâ when she married and moved into Mangan House.

Mangan House was built by and lived in by the Hollingsworth family since 1730. (TJH)

1078. Patricia Diane Hollingsworth [scrapbook] (Clarence Miller , Nicholas James , Nicholas James , Thomas , Nicholas Henry , John , Thomas , Thomas , Henry ) was born on 3 Oct 1943.

Diane grew up in Edmonton and went to the University of Alberta and became a teacher of Business Education. She and her husband Jim met at University and after marrying went to Vancouver where Jim completed his Master's degree in Community and Regional Planning. Diane has since left teaching behind and has entered the private sector in business and education specializing in Program Coordination within the Division of Continuing Studies.

Diane like her brother Don has had a long interest in genealogy tracing the family origins from homestead in North Dakota, central eastern Alberta and the Okanagan. This past summer (2004) Diane did family research in Ontario and looks forward to getting more involved in Hollingsworth history.

Diane had no ill effects from her "pratfall at the Sydney Opera House" in October 2003 and her fractured right foot recovered nicely. Also, her left knee benefited from the wonders of modern keyhole surgery last March 2004 and healed with no ill effects. She has been back on the tennis court attacking the ball with vigor. Patricia married James David Anderson [scrapbook] on 3 Jul 1967. James was born on 29 Nov 1941.

Jim is now retired after a long career in government dealing with Crown Lands. He obtained his Master's Degree in Community and Regional Planning. Jim grew up in the far north Yellowknife.

James and Patricia had the following children:

	1177	F	i	Lisa Margit Anderson [scrapbook] was born on 10 Sep 1971. Lisa received a B.A. from the University of Victoria and has a professional job with a regional health authority serving the Deaf. Her education primarily orally (Cued Speech) but is very fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiar with other sign languages around the world, according to her mother.
	1178	F	ii	Jana Kirsten Anderson [scrapbook] was born on 12 Jun 1975. Jana is currently in University completing her Bachelor's in Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies.

1079. Donald Page Hollingsworth [scrapbook] (Clarence Miller , Nicholas James , Nicholas James , Thomas , Nicholas Henry , John , Thomas , Thomas , Henry ) was born on 30 Apr 1950.

Donald Page Hollingsworth, Edmonton Police Sgt....Donald is now retired from the
Edmonton Police Service and working for a large telephone company in security.

Jan 2005: Don Hollingsworth is a descendant of Nicholas Hollingsworth, b. 1762 Ballinakill, County Wexford, d. 1826, Ballycanew, County Wexford, Ireland received the last of his 25 markers this week.

Don matched our Valentine lineage and Thomas James Hollingsworth of James (b. 1811) of Ballycanew,
County Wexford, Ireland 25/25.

Apparently, James (b.1811) and Nicholas (b. 1762) are descendants of an unidentified brother, uncle or
cousin of Valentine, Sr. that did not migrate to America with Valentine.

This DNA match with Don and Tom was really a big deal in the Hollingsworth circles. It meant that Valentine Hollingsworth Sr., the granddaddy of just about every other Hollingsworth in the U.S. had a brother that stayed in Ireland after he left for America in 1682 with the Quakers and William Penn.

Donald married Leslie Joanne Grundy on 4 Sep 1976. The marriage ended in divorce.Leslie was born on 12 Mar 1955.

John married (1) Bernice Margaret in 1941. Bernice was born on 25 Mar 1920 in Texas. She died on 28 Apr 1980.

	1191	F	i	Holly Lee Hollingsworth. Harry Hollingsworth, the editor of Hollingsworth Register attended this wedding of his niece. The reception was held at the Woman's Club in the nearby city of El Segundo. Holly is the daughter of John Harrison Hollingsworth and graduated from Hawthorne High School in 1966 and worked for Pacific Telep;hone Company in Los Angeles. Holly wore a long sleeved white cage gown of peau de soie lace in empire style, with rolled collar and yoke in satin. She had a tulle veil worn shoulder length held in place with a pearl coronet, and carried a beautiful cascade including white roses and lily of the valley, with a white orchid as center piece.
				Holly married Robert C. Hatton on 28 Sep 1968 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Los Angeles County, Calif. Robert is the son of Charles and Mrs Hatton of Torrance, California, and he is a graduate of South High in that city. He is now serving in the Army and stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado. In civilian life he was employed as a fireman. The Hatton name has long been associated with Hollingsworth dating back to 1768 in County Wexford. Not known if this Hatton family is related to the Wexford clan.
