20 August 2013 Jim here, I must update this

John's team won their Division 5 Winter hockey league on 13 APR 2011 Adult Hockey playoffs. 3 on 3 hockey and body building regime are now on the go. His Sister, Brigitte, has lots of news.
Dear visitor,
John plays hockey at least once a week, on a small three on three ice surface with lots of emphasis on little passes, and shooting. It is almost continuous and looks a bit like ball hockey... except it is way faster and the goalies get even more shots than ball hockey. While I coached him, John was on left defense-man, but now he plays left wing (or with 3 on 3 everyone roves). In his extreme youth, John had a swim and volley-ball background. The volley-ball was under one of Ottawa's top elementary school coaches. Playing in a house-league in the south end of town and High school football as a line-backer were tough little workouts and John really enjoyed those teams.
Later, a word-processing diploma and some horticulture courses at Algonquin College seemed pretty tame compared to the grid-iron.
The hockey continues, and the goals are still coming. I remember picking up a puck and as I looked up at the glass, John was right in front of me on the blue-line. He was looking to make a pass, suddenly the goalie was screened and I was thinking "shoot" "shoot" "shoot". John was thinking the same thing, and took a beautiful shot that went right over the goalie, who didn't have a chance on it. John told me I missed an even nicer goal earlier in the game, but the one I saw was sweet I'm telling you.
The car is an older Honda Civic, which still rides great..uh no...not anymore... make that blew up its motor 3 June, a re-built motor going in this week. Real estate is one of John's hobbies. Not as a hobby, but a new passion, John has been into weights and eliptical workouts and you can ask him about nutrition if you want to learn a bit about that.
Well, that's how I see it.
