I found parts for this

1992 Mitsubishi Colt 100 Vista

On the morning of September 25, 2002, my beloved and reliable Colt developed engine trouble.

I needed either or both the following items for this car to be repaired and go back on the road:

    1. Motor position sensor (A.I.S.)

These are no longer obtainable new. Without them this car cannot be used. Apart from this problem, the car is in fine condition.

The diagnosis was done by Bank Street Chrysler Dodge Jeep, which I understand is the only repair shop in Ottawa holding the diagnostic monitoring equipment for the on-board computer in the 1992 Colt.

I asked help, from anywhere in North America, particularly Canada. In the event I was able to obtain an A.I.S. from Union Auto Parts, 5402 Richmond Rd, Nepean, ON., K2H 7T9. They were very helpful.
On 27 July 2006 I received the following e-mail:
Hey! Your engine still had a cure: the sensors it needed are just simple electronic components. Most of these sensors are Replaceable between them, because they work with (0-12v) voltage signals. For example, TPS (throttle position sensor) shows 0v when throttle closed and 12v when full open. In the other hand, original replacement is widely available in the US under dodge and plymouth brands, i think that even the part number should be the same as mitsubishi part. In south america we use to do sensor replacements this way, because there is no good supply for earlier models.
