Wallingford loves Felicia's book about Catlin & Sally. Felicia hopes they do. Wally told Felicia he thinks Cass might start shaping up. Dee puts her gum on the phone. Felicia does not appreciate it. Kathleen dashed in and said their troubles were over.
Peter was out drinking all night. The police told him it was murder. Loud smashing.
Mac's returning home. Carl's plane went down in the Alps. He's dead, says Rachel. Carl's body has not been found but Rachel says there's no chance. Rachel curiously enough doesn't feel elated. Nancy's worried about Perry.
Mac called and told Donna. Perry cried a lot. Peter said he's sorry Carl didn't suffer more. He raved about Carl killing Emily and his baby. Donna yelled at him. Perry kept right on sniveling. He doesn't blame Peter. He's going to move out.
Kathleen's bent on keeping everyone in suspense. Cass asked Dee to leave so they could discuss it. They're to meet Stan Rogers today to talk over the publication of Sally & Catlin's book.
Felicia went to the cabin. Aunt Liz was t'only one there. She and Felicia admired the cabin. Liz rattled on about how any dredging up of Majorca would put a pall on their happiness, like newspaper stories about Carl and Emily and so on. She said they'd want to put it behind them. Catlin and Sally and Kevin returned. Felicia didn't mention the book.
Cass told Kathleen she did good. Dee hollered out asking how long she had to stay in there. Cass said a little longer. Kathleen called her poor thing or something of that nature. She thinks they should try to be more understanding. Cass says she's no Eliza Doolittle. He wants to return her to Tony. Cass thinks they'll get the money for the book and not have to look after Dee. Cass and Kathleen have to go out. Dee says if she gets bored she'll have to call Uncle Tony. Cass and Kathleen have a meeting to go to and they told her to work on picking out an image to work towards.
Nancy tried to comfort Perry. He was unresponsive. He says he's busy.
Sandy was told Emily was definitely poisoned. Blaine and Sandy suspect Carl. The matron has disappeared. He told her he had been Carl's heir once upon a time.
Donna told Peter Perry was not responsible for Carl's actions. She told him not to dwell on it.
Liz told Sally & Catlin Peter was holding a memorial service for Emily and he'd probably be the only one there. Kevin was sent home with Liz. Catlin thinks Kevin's getting friendlier. Sally said she thought she'd go to the service for Emily. Catlin's opposed. He reminded her of Emily's horribleness. She said she wasn't going for Emily's sake but for her friend Peter's. Catlin's unthrilled. He said Peter was more than a friend he was her ex-fiancé. Sally asked if that was what this was about. Catlin denied it. She remained firm in her resolve to go to the service. They don't want to argue about it.
Cass & Kathleen met Stan. He thinks he can give them $100,000 up front. Kathleen told numerous lies about other interested publishers. Cass chimed in and waxed eloquent on the subject of Catlin Ewing: Folk Hero and film rights and various merchandise pertaining to Catlin. Stan says he can go to $150,000. Kathleen says they've been offered $175,000. She worked him up to $200,000.
Wallingford got to Cecile's. He encouraged Dee. He found a bunch of drawings she'd done. It seems she's been to art school and she's good. Felicia got there. She has to stop Cass & Kathleen from making the deal. She couldn't catch them. She explained to Wally after getting rid of Dee. Wallingford said Catlin & Sally might not think like Liz. Felicia's despondent. She's afraid if the deal went through Catlin & Sally's lives will be ruined forever.
Peter was presumably thankful for Sally's presence. He's more concerned about Emily tho'.
Sandy stopped by the Loves'. Carl's death seems unreal. Donna' not sure she loved Carl. (She said when he returned she and Peter were ESTRANGED. How MARRIED.) Donna told Sandy she'd disliked him a lot in the beginning. She said she doesn't think Blaine is any too fond of her. Sandy said she doesn't know her yet. (Why are these men so convinced that to know Donna is to love her? BIZARRE.) Sandy said he felt very close to Donna.
Blaine thinks Sandy's at the Complex. The Corys want the children back.
Cass and Kathleen are singing exuberantly. Dee: I know, I know. Sheesh. Cass: (Very surprised) Oh. Bless her little heart. Kathleen: See how sensitive she's getting? Cass: Never mind. He raved about Kathleen's business instinct. Felicia and Wally said it was swell. Kathleen was full of publicity plans involving Sally and Catlin. DEEPLY TACKY ONES. Cass thinks his freedom is as good as bought. It is if Felicia just endorses the cheque.
Perry seems to be glooming about. Grant offered sympathy. Left alone was Perry. Silence. Nancy arrived.
Mac has returned. He says it's finally over. He brought the children. RAPTURE.
THAT HORRIBLE GIGOLO. That worse than horrible gigolo. Serve him right if -- if -- no I won't say it. Anything awful. Dumb jerk.
If Catlin MUST dredge up Emily's criminality he needn't make himself sound so selfish. Standing about sulking because he was convicted of her crimes does no one any good. Besides, he CONFESSED. 'S own fault. So dry up, darling. (That goes for Perry, too.)
