Amanda joined Mac and Rachel for lunch in Tops. They have an ulterior motive.
The Navy guy from Christmas came into Mary's Place. Vince recognized him as an old friend. Jason. When Mary emerged from the kitchen Jason greeted her chummily. She asked who he was.
Cass and Nicole enjoyed Christmas. Felicia brought Signor Luigi Olivero by, and had to keep slapping his hands away. Cass introduced him as one of the world's most famous interior designers. [Quoth Felicia, "he also fools around with exteriors."] Felicia mentioned she'd booked Gloria Loring into Tops for New Year's. Nicole suggested to Cass they rethink their partnership. He hasn't reformed. Cass sent Luigi back to his hotel and told Nicole this was too bizarre. She said she wanted to decorate herself. Cass stomped upstairs. Nicole fumed. Felicia went after Cass. Donna stopped by with bread and salt.
Mac offered Amanda a writing assignment. She squealed. He wants her to cover Nicole. Amanda rushed off to set up an interview.
Mary told Jason she had amnesia. He introduced himself as Jason Frame, co-Love worker. FRAME, eh? She left for the hospital. Jason asked Vince what had happened. He'd heard she drowned. Ada emerged from the kitchen and vaguely recognized Steve's brother. He just retired from the Navy. He's considering buying Emma's farm. Ada didn't seem to like him. Exit Jason.
Rachel told Mac she wanted to bid on the Frame farm for Jamie. Mac didn't like it. She thought it could serve as a wedding present for Jamie and Lisa, not that they're engaged yet. Mac doesn't like the idea of Frames in his and Rachel's life.
Donna has hope. Nicole informed Cass that she and Donna would be doing the decorating. Mitch arrived to photograph. Both Cass and Nicole tried to direct him. Cass won. Nicole said she wanted him drawn and eighthed. Felicia followed them upstairs to see to it. Amanda came for the interview.
Mitch warned Cass he wanted to be sure Nicole approved so he didn't have to do it again. He went off to shoot some things. Felicia told Cass he and Nicole should try to get along better. Cass was stunned when she suggested his ego was to blame.
Jason snooped around the Frame farmhouse. Rachel found him. They recognized each other. She said she wanted to buy the farm for Jamie. He told her he wanted it himself and said he'd see her at the auction.
Cass tried to improve on Nicole's answers to Amanda's questions. Amanda fled upstairs. Cass suggested he and Nicole divide the partnership between business and creativity.
Mitch asked Amanda how she was. She said she was fine. He left. She was surprised Felicia knew and confided she was surprised Mitch knew and he wasn't mad or anything. She told Felicia she wished Sam would say he loved her. Felicia assured her Sam cared about her and was responsible. Amanda said that was insufficient. Felicia told her not to give up hope. Enter Mitch. Exit Amanda. Mitch and Felicia hope it works out.
Nicole discovered Cass had hired models without her permission. She was upset. Cass shrugged and said Cheryl's best friend was in hospital so they couldn't use her. He walked off. Enter Donna. Nicole hired her promptly as a sort of manager-cum-ally.
Rachel found some old photographs of Steve and Jamie. Matt came in. He found it depressing. Rachel was more sentimental. Mac admitted he didn't want her to buy the farm. She told him Jason was in town.
Vince told Jason he and Mary were divorced. Mary returned. Jason asked if the divorce had anything to do with That Old Carrot. She said not. He bugged her about her memory.
Nicole hated Cass' models on sight. She phoned the modeling agency.
Jason was weird.
Mac said they might as well let Jason have the farm. He has an irrational hatred for the Frames, after the pattern of Mitch. Rachel stayed to look at photographs. Mac left.
