ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

April 29, 1985

Cass has taken Kathleen to a bizarre house where he used to spend summers with his friend John. John is letting Cass have the use of it. He left a note saying there was plenty of food and wine and he wasn't to forget about Naomi. Kathleen asked about Naomi but Cass said she was a real cow [I'm willing to take this literally, knowing Cass] and Kathleen was appeased.

Marley told Donna she must've lost the bracelet because Bridget wouldn't steal. Peter of the ever-present wit suggested they call in Scotland Yard. Bridget appeared bearing tea and fled to get the phone. It was Jake to say Victoria was missing from her room. Donna wanted to know who it was.

Kathleen assured Cass she wasn't jealous of Naomi. She said she thought there were past that. Cass told her for the first time in his life there was really no one else. They discussed the Dee aspect. Everything's hunky-dory. As time goes by I am more and more convinced that Naomi is some species of cattle. They drank to not blowing their second chance.

Dee returned pretty much in her former state of attire. Lily told her Cass was away with Kathleen. Dee fibbed about having met a nameless faceless guy who will never come to Bay City and being over Cass. Lily assured her she'd find the right man.

Bridget told Donna it was a wrong number. Marley went to bed. Peter called her cutie. Bridget dispersed. Donna doesn't approve of Marley's attachment to her. Peter said Marley could take care of herself. Donna snapped that he wouldn't know because all he was worried about was taking care of SALLY FRAME. He told her not to start with him. She dredged up Brittany. He said [tight-lipped] that someone had to look after Sally [and what is wrong with her husband for that? He managed pretty well for quite some time. Or even herself]. Donna promised to shut up about Sally if he'd not go to bed. She talked about Brittany and babies instead. Apparently she was very much out of it for quite some time surrounding Marley [and Victoria]'s birth. That explains the lack of attention on her part. Donna decided to tell Marley she was her mother on her 18th birthday.

Victoria came in through Marley's window and hid in the closet when Marley came in and took her hair out. She opened the door cautiously to look.

Cass and Kathleen in bed discussing the creep she'd been taken in by in New York. VP of the publishing firm in New York. He treated her nicely to begin with but then treated her worse and worse and one day she found him kissing a sweet young thing but she didn't do anything about it. He later called her and left a message on her answering machine saying it was over. Cass praised her business abilities. They're happy.

It's 2 am and nobody knows where Victoria is. Jake says she's obsessed with Marley. He and Bridget like Marley more than they expected to.

A lot of silence and strange music. Presumably Victoria and Marley. Marley called "Hello?" and Victoria said "Hello Marley it's me." the alarm went off and Marley woke up and said it was just a dream.

Donna is worried about Marley's nightmares. She's afraid she's been a bad mother. She wishes she'd had the courage to stand up to father. She wishes she could hear Marley call her mother. Peter said she'd made the best decision possible under the circumstances.

Cass doesn't know how Kathleen can sleep. He and Nell are as one on the subject of early-morning birds. "Alfred Hitchcock was absolutely right." quoth he.

Marley in a terrible panic looked in the closet and found it empty.

Victoria woke Jake up and asked him not to be mad at her. He was when he found out what she'd been up to.

Cass brought Kathleen her breakfast. FARMER Cass. He collected the eggs and squoze the juice. IT'S TIME TO MEET NAOMI [I know she's BOVINE].

Dee was going to leave. Lily found her on the way out with her luggage. She wants her to stay in Bay City and live with Felicia [at Felicia's request]. Dee refused to be cheered so Lily gave her a pep talk about being a hooker. Sounds like she'll stay.

NAOMI IS [SURPRISE, SURPRISE] A COW. Kathleen called him a jerk. He wants her to milk her. She won't. She's making him. He's stalling. Kathleen encouraged him. Off we go.

Strange women doing something about/with Cass' book. "What an interesting face." PERPLEXITY.

Marley told Donna about her dream. Donna is worried. She wants her to see a doctor. Marley told her to back off YOU'RE NOT MY MOTHER.

Jake wants to take care of Victoria. Victoria has to pass herself off as Marley a month and a half and she has to be near her and study her. Jake told her he'd found the bracelet.

Cow successfully milked. Cass and Kathleen are happy and closer than ever before [in spirit not in body]. Cass wondered aloud whether they'd get along as well if living together.

Strange slightly foreign woman saying she wanted to know everything about Cass Winthrop.

Jake and Victoria argued about the bracelet. Scuffle?
