Felicia is worried about Lisa and Donna. Poor Donna, she must be frantic about the poor rapist. Brain surgery tonight. Mitch insisted on guarding her body to go to the hospital.
John asked who was there. Dr Glaser realized he couldn't see. Eventually he introduced himself and said Donna wanted him to chat about his traumatic experience. John was surprised he didn't know about his blindness. Dr Glaser ascertained that he hadn't been much help to the police. John ordered him out.
Jamie spoke soothingly to Michael and Donna about the surgery. Donna is loathsomely living up to Felicia's expectations. They heard John yelling to have Dr Glaser removed. Jamie rushed in and extolled Dr. Glaser's virtues. John ordered everyone out. Michael got permission from Jamie to stay. John ordered him out. Michael refused to be shut out of his brother's life.
Donna told Adam John's surgery had to be successful. Dr Glaser made remarks about Tony and then John's bravado. Adam said he'd catch the killer. Felicia and Mitch arrived. Dr Glaser patted Felicia's little hand and turned her over to Donna. Donna fretted about John. Adam asked Felicia and Mitch not to tell anyone that John couldn't see, because he was setting a trap.
Michael tried to reminisce about past summers with John. John was unreceptive. Michael told him they all loved him. John asked for a dog [of the seeing-eye variety]. He said he'd seen enough. Irritating supposedly stirring music was played. He said he could paint his cane white and burst into tears, or something.
Dr Glaser went home and told Mother that John might die, but then again the surgery might be successful and he might have to kill him, but at least he had time to think about his Reward. She's good and pure, just like Mother. Mother said there were still women who had to be taken care of. He refused to kill any more. There are too many and they can't all be in the way.
Donna asked Adam why he hadn't told Dr Glaser that Tony was in custody. Adam said he hadn't seen any reason to. Felicia got Jamie's permission to administer a swift kick in the butt to John. She and Mitch went in and told him everyone was pulling for him and he had to fight. A nurse threw them out and gave John a shot. Donna crept in and told John he was breaking Michael's heart. She said she wasn't leaving until he heard what she had to say. She told him she was thinking of Michael and Clara. She tried to convince him that he wanted to live for some woman he could love. I am disgusted. Michael appeared.
Chad told Sara about the attack on Donna and John's accident. Sara was thrilled to hear he had an alibi for this one. Wallingford took Chad aside to talk about the Agent. Felicia came up. Wallingford refused to seat her. Mitch was triumphant. Felicia accused everyone of being a drag. Mitch said he had other plans. Felicia was quelled. Wallingford told Chad he had arranged an interview with the Agent or someone very close to for him. They spied a gangster type.
Mitch took Felicia back to her suite. She begged to be allowed to go somewhere — and then she noticed he'd done something spectacular to surprise her. Lobster and asparagus and something that pairs. Felicia was overcome. He gave her the impression that his intention was only to protect her.
Mother told Dr Glaser not to defy her but he was adamant. She said she wouldn't let him have the only girl he'd ever wanted if he acted up.
John is about to be surgered.
Clara is not wonderful. Michael and Donna visited with her. She asked where John was. Michael hesitated and told her John had had a little accident. Clara was distressed. Donna hastened to reassure her. They didn't tell her anything much.
Chad told the guy he wanted the videotape back. The guy made remarks about MJ. He said they'd be willing to take $50,000 for it. He left. Chad moped. Wallingford wandered up. Chad seemed to have an inspiration.
Dr Glaser refused to kill anyone except maybe John. He said he had earned his Reward.
Felicia became annoyed. She and Mitch argued. He shushed her. She kept yelling. He asked what she expected. She rambled. He kissed her, I guess. This showed that he was not just protective. She shut up. The phone rang. It was Dr Glaser. Felicia regretted that she was busy tomorrow. He coaxed her into having breakfast with him. He muttered to himself about having his Reward.
John was magnificently resigned. Ugh.
