Tony saw Kathleen and Wallingford in Smiley's. Kathleen suggested that Tony take her out for New Year's Eve.
Mac talked to Rachel again. For about the 27th time this week. He says he loves her forever and evah. He didn't tell her he's meeting Carl. He's convinced Carl won't try anything in a place as public as Tallboys.
Carl on the phone. He demands perfection. He said "Once we've had our little meeting, I doubt if the party in question will have a happy New Year or anything else." Perry overheard. He asked who Carl was talking about. Carl said it was just business. Carl was friendly.
Grant is cooperating with the police. They're setting up vast security systems.
Tony took Kathleen up on her offer. They're going to go to Tallboys. She's hoping to turn Tony around with sweet talk. Wallingford's worried about her. He thought she was through doing things for Cass. She changed her mind.
Rocco wants to pulverize Cass but Tony won't let him.

Lily's going to sing at Tallboys tonight. Maisie's sorry that things didn't work out for her and Grant.
Felicia told Cass that Kathleen's risking her fool neck for him again. Cass says Kathleen only risks her neck for one reason: money. Or power. Wallingford: That's two reasons, Cass. Cass: They're interrelated. Cass wants to be left out of it but Felicia told him to tell her not to do it but he won't. He says she can take care of herself. Felicia gave up and said that she and Wallingford are going to keep an eye on Kathleen. She left. Wallingford told Cass off so Cass said Krystle would go to Tallboys. He plans to use feminine wiles to keep Tony's attention away from Kathleen.
Carter's in a bad mood. Grant wants to know what's wrong but Carter won't tell him.
The police are prepared. Bill the bartender is one of their men.
Mac's ready to go. Diane said there was a message from Felicia saying to meet her in the TV studio.
Carl is of course the perpetrator of the message. It won't be long now Mac.
Maisie is concerned about Carter. He told her they broke up. Maisie says they'll work it out.
Thomasina's silent and depressed. Wallingford was PLEASED to meet Tom and Quinn. He says Quinn's a beautiful woman.
Mac got to the studio and the doors locked behind him so he's trapped. Carl's voice came out of nowhere. Sounding rather unlike Carl.
Ben asked Carter what's wrong. Carter doesn't want to see her. Ben called Marley. They're plotting to get Tom and Carter together.
Quinn suggested Tom try to make it up with Carter. Tom says it won't work.
Quinn wants Clarice to come back to work. Clarice says it's too hard for her to leave the house these days. She has FEAR. Quinn says it's okay.
Mac's still in the studio. I think Carl's a recording or something. He suggested that Mac commit suicide rather than be killed. Mac declined. He told Carl that it was his own fault.
Lily encouraged Tom to go to Smiley's. Tom left.
Kathleen was extremely friendly with Tony. Sickeningly so. MJ was extremely upset to see her Tuna-fishing. Kathleen said she'd explain later.
Carl said if Mac didn't commit suicide he'd kill him.
Larry's worried because Mac's not there yet.
Felicia and Wallingford are revolted by the spectacle of Kathleen coming on to Tony. Krystle arrived. Tony went to say hello. Wallingford commandeered Kathleen.
