Cheryl blindfolded Scott and led him to the gazebo for a picnic. They were rather sweet. [She called him "You stupid." I liked that.]
Mitch took Matthew to a concrete "room" under Grand Central Station. Matthew was thrilled. Mitch was unable to make him see the lack of romance in the situation.
Adam and Michael were quite pleased with themselves until Reginald showed them a little pile of precious stones and some clay containers. They said it was too little to be the dig deal trump.
Cheryl gave thanks for her ring and the lack of convent school and the presence of her mother and Scott. Scott gave thanks for his mother's wellbeing and the United States of America and Cheryl. They proceeded with their Thanksgiving picnic. She fed him some Pilgrim and Indian concoction she'd made from a Thanksgiving book. He said it had a good texture. She hit him.
Matthew is irrepressible. Mitch told him Mac and Rachel loved him. Matthew was not impressed. Mitch told him he'd run away from home at his age and never returned. Bad Things had happened. Matthew was not swayed.
Mary worried when she heard MJ was working undercover. Cass warned her MJ was very protective of her loved ones. He invited her to the McKinnon Thanksgiving dinner and ignored her objections.
Gomez refused to tell the impostor what Vince had done to incur Vince's wrath.
Reginald smashed open the clay containers and revealed papers granting him ownership of the choicest land in town.
Scott enjoyed the picnic tremendously. He brooded about his natural parents. Cheryl told him she loved him.
An unhinged vagrant appeared and ordered Mitch and Matthew out of his place. He threatened to cut them. Mitch assured him they would leave. Matthew thought it would be a good time to display bravado. It wasn't.
Reginald gloated. Michael and Adam were discomfited. Reginald blamed Michael for Donna's illness. Jamie burst in with news before the brawl could really get going. Someone had been systematically feeding Donna a mind-altering substance. No one was more shocked than That Old Carrot. Michael blamed him. Jamie is doubtful about recovery.
After a brief and inglorious fight Mitch got rid of the vagrant, who also managed to get their last $46. Mitch insisted they leave before he returned.
Cass won Mary over with minor difficulties. Vince fell in with the plan moodily. He issued a gracious invitation which was even more graciously accepted.
Scott was gratified.
Mitch and Matthew went to a soup kitchen. Matthew still refused to go home. Mitch said he'd wait.
Reginald telephoned Mary to invite her to Thanksgiving. Dinner with him and Scott. She hedged. He was at his most grandiose and disgusting. He said he'd send the car. She said she'd think about it.
Michael discussed things with Adam, Jamie, and Cass. They didn't think sneaking the pills away and introducing a mind-altering substance was Reginald's style. Michael thought of Gomez.
Matthew did not make a good impression on the lady in charge. She demanded to talk to his father. Mitch took some convincing. She yelled at him for using a child. She told them to clean the hallway and the toilets for food. Matthew was appalled. Mitch took the hallway.
Michael and Adam burst into the Love mansion. Michael accused Gomez. Reginald ordered him out. Michael left, threatening to prove her guilt. Gomez told Reginald the impostor was swell.
Scott was tremendously gratified.
