ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

August 26, 1986

Kathleen and MJ hid Cheryl in the pantry until they could tell Vince about Cheryl's having run away from school. MJ warned Kathleen not to give Vince any inkling of the rumour that Mary had been in love with Reginald. Enter Vince.

Brittany told Rachel Reginald was her ticket to freedom.

Reginald is annoyed that Marley can't be found. And why can't that wretched Ludwig either die or open his eyes? Enter Scott breathing fire and saying mom would find out real soon about the impostor she'd married. Scott said she had a right to know who her husband was. Reginald said he'd never meant to hurt either him or her. He said she didn't have to know. Scott said she did. Reginald said he would never do anything to hurt his family .

Brittany said Reginald would probably sympathise with her or at the very least want to avoid a scandal. Or not want a non-Love living in the house. Rachel was dubious.

Peter drew up a restraining order for Mitch ("this Mitch individual") for Mac. He warned him Mitch might take drastic action.

MJ let Cheryl out of the pantry. Cheryl said she didn't want to be a nun . Vince insisted she go back to the nuns. She said it was good to see him again and hugged him. He turned to mush and said he hated living without her but he thought being motherless the nuns could look after her better than he could. Cheryl is nearly eighteen. She wants to go to college. Her sisters said they'd talk to Vince. Kathleen offered to pay.

Reginald told Scott if he told his mother he'd prevent him seeing her ever again. He said he cherished her above all and wouldn't lose her. Scott argued. Reginald said he would tell her at the first opportunity. Scott left. Reginald told Gomez She could never know and sent for Mitch.

Mac delivered the restraining order to Mitch. It says Rachel and Mac have control over when and where. Mitch was not pleased. He said he wanted to make up for lost time. Exit Mac. Enter Blade who seemed acquainted with Mitch. They were in jail together and best friends but Blade is afraid of screwing up his parole.

Kathleen told Vince he had to let Cheryl grow up. He gave permission for her to go to Bay State. Enter Scott. Cheryl: hi, Scott. Scott: hi. I didn't recognise you with your clothes on. Vince: WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU MEAN BY THAT?

Rachel told Brittany to think about this. Brittany said she wasn't going to do this today. Rachel reasoned with her. Enter Peter.

Reginald ordered his wife placed under a news blackout. No magazines or newspapers for her. Alonzo called to say she had returned and the house was like Ethelred II. She asked Alonzo who was on the phone and where her husband was. Reginald told him to tell Her he was on a hunting expedition in the mountains and would join her at the beach house, where she should go immediately.

Reginald gave Gomez orders to arrange for him to go home.

She refused to go immediately. Dolores brought the mail. She insisted on getting her a drink . They decided Alonzo seemed strange and secretive, like Manuel. It's not like Brandon Reginald to hunt in the mountains in August. Perhaps it is yet another thrilling surprise from a thoughtful and loving husband. They decided to get Manuel a cold drink and nice the secret out of him.

Peter told Brittany how thrilling Reginald was. Rachel evaporated. Peter asks what was up and said Rachel was a bad influence on her. He told her to get dressed. She said the dress had long sleeves . He said she had to wear it anyway. He left. She breathed funny.

Scott and Cheryl made a bad job of explaining how they had come to be in bed together. (MJ: it's happened to me a dozen times.) Vince was annoyed. Kathleen leaped to Cheryl's defense. Cheryl promised to be good. Vince gave in but declared Scott's apartment off limits and said she had to work.

Rachel told Mac she felt guilty keeping Mitch from Matthew. Mac said they weren't and said he suspected Mitch of an ulterior motive.

Mitch and Blade went to Quinn and said they were rehabilitated convicts who wanted work. (She hires rehabilitated conflicts. They are not high-concept men, but this is Quinn.) They pled earnestly, if not quite humbly. She hired them to work on a lengthy renovation of -- THE CORY MANSION.

Kathleen asked Vince if Mary had ever said anything to him about the Loves in general and Reginald in particular. He yelled at her. She asked if there had ever been trouble in their marriage. He said there love had been beautiful, pure, and wonderful and Mary had loved him with all her heart. He said he would never forgive Reginald for having killed her.

Peter Reginald was introduced to his grandfather. Peter and Reginald are agreed that separating the twins from each other and not telling them Donna and Michael were their parents had made them better people. Reginald said he adored Marley and Peter Reginald. Brittany asked Reginald if he didn't feel there was a place for someone in the family there who wasn't a true Love. Peter had Miss Weston take the baby away. Brittany persisted.

Mac and Rachel and Quinn are pleased with the prospective renovations.

Mitch and Blade are pleased to have jobs. Mitch hopes things will get interesting inside the Cory house.

MJ gave Kathleen what for for upsetting Vince. Kathleen suspects him of protesting too much.

Scott told Cheryl he didn't really get along with his father.

Mary (let's not keep saying She all the time) was unable to get anything out of the servants. She turned her attention to a magazine.

Brittany said it was time for the truth. Peter made threatening noises. Reginald told him to let her speak. Brittany has the floor.
