ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

November 25, 1985

Chris and Nancy are bedding down for the night in a big way. I fear Nancy has not long to be with us.

Marley is shaken. She and Jake stopped for the night. He was very kind and reassuring.

Cass made his meaning clearer. He's been doing a lot of thinking and although he took her for granted he really loves her. She said she'd been thinking and she loved him but — He silenced her saying they'd be happy. He asked her to marry him.

Sally stepped forward.

Chris and Nancy behaved in a disgusting fashion that involved a lot of kissing and heavy breathing and pulling at clothes and discussions of trust and love. Mostly kissing.

Jake assured Marley she had no choice but to shoot Carl because he would have killed everyone eventually. She's not convinced. She cried. He wrapped her in soothing embrace.

Sally thought of Catlin swearing up and down that he hadn't even thought of Brittany since he met her and turned on her heel and fled almost in tears.

Cass told Kathleen things came too easily for him so he took them for granted but the best times he'd ever spent had been with her. He can't lose her. She kissed him. Cass: what was that for? Kathleen: I just felt like it. Kissing. It's one of the few parts in my body I can still move, I've got to keep it in shape. Cass: have they got you drugged up? I SEE. Kathleen: but I know what I'm doing. Cass: well I wish you'd clue ME in. She told him they should wait until she was better and everything was back to normal. He said the whole world was crazy and something else would happen if they waited.

Outside the plainclothesmen heard her [Kathleen] talking to a man and asked MJ what was up. She listened and told them it was time for Kathleen's favorite TV show. She called in secretly on the house phone and told Kathleen to turn on the TV if Cass was there.

Cass turned on the TV and hid in the closet. The detective who came in was covered in confusion to find a conspicuous lack of man.

Rachel caught Sally trespassing and dragged her into chat. Sally was not chatty. Rachel talked about the awful things in Arizona. Rachel asked why Sally had come home. Sally said she thought the job had been the worst mistake of her life and she had to go. Rachel stopped her and asked why she'd come. Sally explained about the machine and said she hadn't found Catlin & Brittany. Rachel is aware that something's wrong but she doesn't know what. She explained that Catlin was helping Britt with her rodeo skills and they'd probably stepped out for a bite to eat. She told her that Catlin seemed eager for Brittany to see the world other than Bay City. Sally left.

Brittany laughed and laughed. Catlin got up to go to Larry's. She objected. He said he could give her two more days, 4 hours apiece for rodeo stuff. She asked about all the time he'd be spending alone. He said perhaps he wanted it that way. She asked if he were trying to prove how much he cared about Sally. He said he did care about Sally. Britt was sure Sally was carrying on in an equally depraved fashion. He told her to watch her mouth. Sally is pure as the driven snow and he doesn't want to hear different. Britt said Sally sure had him where she wanted him and told him to go home to bed alone and believe that Sally was doing that too if he wanted. He told her she knew nothing about him and Sally. She said she was beginning to catch on real fast.

Chris and Nancy have spent a memorable evening. Unrequited love is the pits but they love each other and have for quite some time.

Sally found Catlin's jacket on the back of a chair and thought morosely of the day his divorce papers had come and he'd kissed her. She told Kevin it was jet lag that had her down. He chattered about Catlin's two night trip [which Catlin had assured Kevin was NOT DANGEROUS] and told her to call Catlin and he'd come home. Sally said she wouldn't want to interrupt him. Kevin talked on and on about how surprised Catlin would be and Brittany had taught him more riding. He asked if they were still going to Arizona. Sally sounds on the verge of tears. She said they were. Enter Catlin. He attempted to embrace Sally but she was unresponsive. Kevin explained it was jet lag but Catlin was clearly puzzled. He did his best to ensure that he and Sally would have dinner alone but Sally insisted on keeping Kevin. Catlin sent Kevin to wash up and when Sally asked about his business trip he lied a lot. So of course her worst suspicions were confirmed.

List of contents of the treasure: a small chest of uncut diamonds. A second larger chest of the pharaoh's daughter's jewelry. 100 blocks of gold. A jade serpent. A jar of emeralds. They haven't found it yet but these things are mentioned in a letter from Love to Chapin. Chris is mellowing regarding his father because Carl is so strange. He intends to restore the treasure to Egypt. Nothing will ever be drab while we're together.

Jake said this was Lassiter all over again. He told Marley it was over with Victoria. Marley blames herself. Jake said Victoria never wanted to give anything up and every relationship had to be forever 50/50. Marley suggested it was for want of a twin so everything had to be a twinship. Jake said he'd break it off completely when they got back. He wishes he'd spent time chasing his own dreams instead of Victoria's and he's going to now. He said he loved her so much and everything would be fine as long as they were together. He wrapped her in a blanket and said she was beautiful and kissed her. They fell over together and then his shoulder acted up. She adjusted the sling and they decided to go to sleep.

MJ talked to Cass while Kathleen slept. The doctors don't think the operation will be necessary. MJ: so was she happy to see you? Cass: more or less. MJ: what does that mean? Cass: well I brought up something that that that I probably shouldn't have. I think it was a little too much for her to handle right now. MJ: what did you say Cass? Cass: You don't want to know MJ. MJ: yes I do. Cass: I asked her to marry me. MJ: are you SERIOUS? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life. Cass: that's what I like about you McKinnons, you have a really beautiful sense of the romantic. MJ: BUT IN A HOSPITAL, Cass? Come on. Cass: well would you rather I wait to propose in jail? MJ: what did she say? Cass: it doesn't look too good for me right now. MJ: well, I'm not surprised. I'm sorry, that sounds mean, I'm sorry. Cass: I don't care, I'm not giving up. I'll keep asking her right up-to-the-minute of the execution. MJ: well, good luck. Cass, you know that none of those charges are going to stick. Cass: then why were they brought against me in the first place? MJ: because when you tell everyone that you want to kill somebody and that somebody ends up murdered, people are going to ask a few questions. She suggested he turn himself in and said she'd be delighted to do the honours. She gave him a minute to kiss Kathleen. She took him out and the plainclothesmen were on them like piranha.

Brittany found out from Rachel that Sally had been there at the stables around 6:30. She asked to use the phone and called the cabin. Sally answered. Britt: is Catlin there? Sally: Brittany? Britt: yes it is. Sally: you've got a lot of nerve, you know that? Brit: YEP. Sally: don't you ever call here again. She slammed the phone down. Enter Catlin.

Marley told Jake she was afraid of having nightmares about Carl. He told her to wake him if she did. They don't have a hard time talking anymore. He kissed her goodnight.

Sally got a little cryptic before telling Catlin she'd seen him with Brittany in the stables. Even then he said they'd been rehearsing. Sally said it hadn't been a rehearsal and it dawned on him. He said "Sally." She stomped off to bed telling him he had to leave.

Marley dreamed about the shooting and woke up sobbing. Instantly Jake took her in his arms and soothed her.

Nancy couldn't sleep. Everything is going well for them. In an hour it will be done and the treasure will be accessible.
