ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

December 25, 1984

Sally is sitting by herself by the Christmas tree. Her nightwear is beyond belief. I'm sure Catlin had nothing equal to it in that bag back there. There's a hell of a lot of it. All white. Kevin came down. He was afraid that Santa wouldn't come because he has no mother or father. (My apologies. It wasn't that Catlin didn't thrill him yesterday, it was Catlin's reference to Santa Claus. I should have known. After all, Catlin is the thrillingest person Kevin knows.) Sally assured him that Santa would always come and Kevin would always have her.

Maisie invited Cass to the McKinnons' with her but Krystle declined. Cass is not disposed to be sociable.

O Sandy you're so wonderful. Rachel and Mac and Alex interrupted the billing and cooing of the younger married Corys. Mac wants to have a FAMILY MEETING.

Kathleen called Cass and begged to know how and why. Cass said it seemed like a decent thing to do. She invited him over for Christmas but he said no. Averse to being Krystle. Vince is happy to have Kathleen home for Christmas.

The Matthews party won't really get rolling until Catlin gets there. Kevin told Sally he loves her. Sally told Kevin she loves him more than any other little boy in the world.

Jamie is a maniac. The Cory mansion is a madhouse. ALL THOSE CHILDREN. Jamie is definitely one of them. Rachel apologized to Sandy for losing faith in him. She let him know he was welcome back at the complex. The Complex.

Vince is irresponsible. He's trying to convince MJ to start the roast now. Kathleen is absent, if not in body at least in mind. MJ's in agonies because Donna's coming. Donna and Marley and Ben arrived. Donna is ill at ease. So is just about everyone else.

Cass is ALL ALONE. Feeling sorry for himself. There came a gnocking at the door. Felicia with a tree and masses of gifts and a young man. She set the young man free and prepared to spend Christmas with Cass. Some of the gifts are from Stacey and Marie. (Cass is an UNCLE. That's almost as weird as Catlin being a bachelor. Omygod Catlin's a multiuncle. Weird.) Cass said Felicia didn't have to do all. that and she said she did because he was her very best friend.

Catlin has arrived. He began to announce the engagement but Sally jumped in and finished it off before he got anywhere. Catlin gave Sally a card with a key in it and sent her to get dressed so they could all find out what it is. (Entertaining young gentlemen in her night attire! Well.) Liz welcomes Catlin to the Matthews family and called him dear rather a lot. Catlin is experiencing qualms about Sally's reception of the gift. Liz assures him that Sally will love it.

Donna wants to leave the festivities. She has NOTHING in common with THESE people. Vince accused her of having another brother and sister. He asked her to stay for Marley's sake. The Todds arrived.

Mac's FAMILY MEETING. "We have things to discuss. We have things to decide." How to fight Carl. Sandy says Carl is sick but there's a method in his madness. Rachel and Sandy and the children are going away. Everybody else has to stay within the family.

Felicia is augmenting Krystle's wardrobe with a nice feminine blouse. Wallingford arrived with a tree and food. Cass is happy.

Catlin and Sally and Mark and Alice and Liz and Kevin arrived at the cabin. Kevin wants to know if they're going to live there. Catlin said if Sally liked it they would and he was going to fix it up. Sally went a little nuts and said "LIKE it? I LOVE it I LOVE you," and threw herself into Catlin's arms (which is not the same as throwing herself on his mercy). There is also a certain amount of land. "A few acres." And everybody's happy. Kevin wants to keep a pony on the land. Alice accused Liz of being a party to this. Liz confessed freely. Mark is eager to observe the land out back. He had to pry Catlin and Sally apart to manage it. They tend to cling to each other "like ivy on the garden wall" oblivious to all others and it makes conversation difficult.

Blaine and Sandy dropped by Larry's. Clarice: Everything that Carl does just seems so complicated. Barring the fact that to Clarice a lot of things are complicated, she's right. Sandy admits it.

The Loves are leaving the McKinnons'. Donna was gracious. Marley was utterly effusive. MJ sent Kathleen off to make her friend's Christmas merry. Jamie dropped by. Briefly.

Larry and Clarice went to the cabin. Clarice wants to look out back. Catlin and Sally and Kevin went and crouched in the doorway. Well. Kevin was actually standing up but he's so much shorter than they are that you don't notice. Sally and Kevin are agreed that this is the best Christmas ever. Catlin says that this is going to be his first home. Kevin wants bunkbeds. Catlin says he loves them both so much. Sally says they love him.

Wallingford's dinner was sumptuous. Wallingford and Felicia left to go caroling. They invited Cass but he declined. Kathleen arrived (complete with tree) much to Wallingford and Felicia's suspicion. (That makes no sense.) Cass is partial to evergreen. He kissed Kathleen rather a good deal. Eventually she extricated herself from his embrace and left. Happy. Cass is not displeased.

The Corys are happy. Mac made a Christmas speech. Merry Christmas.
