ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

October 24, 1985

The Corys can't think who endowed the chair.

Donna called the reporter to complain that although her front-page article had been printed she hadn't been paid. Enter Peter.

Edouard can't contact Barry and he won't deal with underlings. Felicia's sure he'll reattain great heights.

Nancy struggled as the man dragged her into a room. She hit him and when he curled up in pain he was revealed to be CHRIS. She was appalled. He's in pain. Nancy: listen, try not to talk. I hit you in the solar plexus. Chris: I know THAT. Nancy: I learned it in karate class. What are you DOING here? Chris: [weakly] I'm saving your life... I don't feel so good. Nancy: oh, Chris, I can't believe you're here. Chris: yeah well I was expecting a slightly different welcome. She kissed it better and he made lewd suggestions. He can't walk. She told him she loved him. They heard sounds of folk looking for her. Nancy: here we are in the middle of Egypt in Carl's villa and you are worried about MAKING OUT? Chris: don't you want to? Nancy: yeah, but I'm crazy. Kissing heedless of their surroundings.

Donna hung up on Lenore. Peter noticed her copy of The Midnight Surprise with its story. She told him it was Bridget's and she'd noticed the mention of Bay City Gerard. He told her whoever wrote this would be sued for slander. She got strange. He got suspicious. She denied everything. He warned her Mac could fire him and they'd continue this discussion later. Exit Peter. It's Bridget's afternoon. Donna's abstracted.

Mac suspects Michaud. He'll check it out. Ada appeared with Hallowe'en decorations and English crackers. Mac was thrown out for accusing Rachel of cheating at cracker-pulling. Ada asked if Nancy had called.

Carl's orders to the guards were heard by Nancy and Chris. Nancy trembled.

Felicia and Edouard reminisced about a Portuguese sailor who had tried to pick up Felicia and had been bashed for his trouble. They planned to announce his [Edouard's] presence to the press.

Mac told Peter to check out this endowment and fled. Liz dashed in and left a file for Mac to look at. She's upset. Peter asked if Sally were all right. She told him Sally AND CATLIN AND KEVIN were fine. She fled. He inspected the urgent file and found inside a copy of The Midnight Surprise which he appropriated.

Donna got dolled up for some nefarious purpose.

Cass told Felicia of his wonderful idea to franchise Lesoleil. He wants Sally to go to New York. Felicia won't have her doing anything to mess up her marriage. He said he'd ask. She is abstracted. She left. He placed a call to Sally. She wasn't in. Donna came in and showed Cass the paper.

Rachel assured Ada Nancy was just so excited being on her own she was having too good a time to call.

Nancy: CHRIS. If you've got this all planned out then why are we looking for a secret panel? Chris: 'cause you said the house was full of them. Nancy: yeah but what happened to the great plan you had before you found out about them? Chris: well — Nancy: you mean you came in here to get me without a way to get out? Chris: pretty dim, huh? Nancy: YEAH. But pretty brave too. She cornered him and kissed him until Daphne was heard leading guards about. Chris held the doorknob so they thought it was locked. Someone went for the keys. Nancy and Chris found guards uniforms in the closet to get out in. Nancy: turn around. Chris what? Nancy turn around. I'm going to change. Chris: Nancy, you're going to put them on over your own clothes. Nancy: I look all bunchy. Chris: Nancy, you're going to want your clothes because you will draw attention to yourself on the street dressed in a guards uniform. Nancy: YEAH BUT I DON'T WANT TO LOOK ALL BUNCHY. Chris: bunch up. Nancy: I hate it when I look all bunchy. [She began putting the things on though.] I've got to ask you something. Why are we here? Chris: isn't this an odd time to get philosophical? He explained to her about the tomb and the keys. He said Fayez had the ring. She said that was sad. Daphne returned and opened the door to see a small guard-robed figure sitting hunched up. Daphne yelled at it to look for Nancy and proceeded with the rest of the guards. Chris and Nancy settled down to wait for reinforcements.

Donna told Cass she could have prevented the awful article if she had been social liaison. Cass was suspicious. She offered her services. He showed her the door. He called Felicia. Donna placed the paper strategically.

Peter told Mac he wouldn't be happy with the endower.

Felicia talked to Wally about Edouard's comeback. She misses Zane like crazy. They found the paper. She was distraught. She said Edouard couldn't find out. He advised her against that. She is determined to find the source. The vegetarian lackey called her to congratulate her on the publicity stunt.

Can Victoria decorated Jakes room for Bridget's birthday. Enter Jake. He said it looked stupid and tore it down. He's not in a good mood. She's being nice. He asked what she'd told Marley. She said nothing to turn her against him. She offered to take him back. Bridget arrived. Vick told him to behave for Bridget's sake. She told the funny story of Jake killing the streamers. Jake looked funny.

Hawk found Chris and Nancy. He's got the ring. She is distressed that Fayez is on the other side. They have to climb the wall. She kissed him and told him she loved him. Hawk made faces.

Mac took fits because Carl is the mystery man. Rachel was distressed.

Felicia denied it was a publicity stunt. She called Edouard but it was busy. She's going over there.

A telegram came for Rachel from Argentina. The best of love from Carl promising to return to Bay City. Mac promised him a foeman worthy of his steel [you never are Mac Cory].

Hawk and Chris were engaged in getting Nancy over the wall when Carl came after them with a lot of men and a great big gun.
