ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

June 24, 1986

Donna had a nightmare about being passionately entwined with Michael with father Love's mocking laughter ringing in her ears. She awoke whimpering for Michael not to leave her. Michael rushed in and comforted her . She begged him not to let her father come between them.

Peter said cryptic things to Brittany about how lucky she was.

Felicia and Rachel visited with Kathleen. Kathleen is determined not to let anyone feel sorry for her. She intends to reassemble her life.

Cass is wary of Cecile. She is feigning innocence. He refused to eat until she'd tasted the food.

Peter told Brittany about Cass and said cynical things about marriage. Britt was disturbed. Left alone she told the baby it was just the two of them against the world. Peter stomped downstairs to confront Michael about his messing about in Swiss bank accounts. Michael admitted to it. Peter told him to keep out of Love family affairs. Michael said they involved him.

Kathleen threw everyone out. They decided Cass deserved the clout but Felicia suspects or hopes Cass has a reasonable explanation. Rachel doubts it. MJ the eyewitness doubts it.

Cass told Cecile yesterday had been a turning point in his relationship with Kathleen. Cecile: let me guess. How about: you just couldn't believe you were engaged to someone who was so hopelessly middle class. Cass: no, not at all, Kathleen has edited some big magazines , when I met her she was living in NYC. She's -- sophisticated. Cecile: Oh, yeah, right. But deep down underneath the girl's just a tacky redhead from the south side of Bay City. Cass: Cecile, you don't even know her, really. Cecile: I'm not saying there's anything WRONG with being that way. Just wrong for you. Cass: no, wait a minute. Cecile: all right. She would have made the perfect little wife. Be a mother 2.3 times. Be a whiz at changing diapers and shopping the malls. But that's not you, darling, that's not what you need. Cass: Kathleen and I had a very different relationship. We never once went to a mall. Cecile: well she's not STUPID. She was waiting until AFTER she got married. LIVING for the day when she could sign your name to a revolving charge account. Cass: buying golf clubs for Father's Day. Cecile: a shag rug for the playroom. Cass: an electric lawn mower. Cecile: a food processor. Cass: and then one day -- a STATION WAGON. Cecile: Oh, horrors . That is not my Cass Winthrop. That is an outrageous violation of everything you stand for. Cass: maybe you're right. She drove the thing home, saying all married men turned into their fathers in law. Understandably shaken by the thought of being a Vince, Cass encouraged her mauling of him. For a moment. He said this show gets rated X when I say it gets rated X.

Peter persisted. Michael took offence. Peter showed him a letter saying that the Love money would be released as soon as the proper documents have been filed . Michael said the man who had signed it was a fraud but left it in Peter's hands.

Cass told Cecile Kathleen would never forgive him. Cecile pressed her advantage. Cass said he didn't want to rush into anything. He's leading her on. She confided in Gloria. She asked Gloria to find out if Cass were sincere.

Adam dropped by the McKinnons'. Kathleen apologised to him. He said he'd come to fetch MJ. A demotion is in the wind. Felicia and Kathleen and Rachel got upset. Adam advised MJ to talk sense to Samuels . Mac dropped by for Rachel and offered Kathleen anything her little heart desires. She evaporated wanly. Cass assured Gloria he had no reason to desire escape. He said he was over Kathleen. She's welcome to her civil servant. He suggested they all party on the yacht. She rushed off to see to it and reassure Cecile. Cecile was lulled to a certain extent . Cass emerged eager to party. And create new memories. She said she wanted him now. He said she didn't want just him.

Peter refused to believe Michael . Michael advised him to try to find out who owned the bank. Bridget appeared and Michael took her aside for a chat about Reginald. Bridget knew him. She was relieved when he died. He frightened her. he was merciless when he didn't get his way.

Cecile said she did want him. Cass asked for a commitment.

Mac and Rachel quarrelled about Cass's perfidy. Kathleen arrived and said she wouldn't take Cass back if he resurfaced, and asked for her old job back. Mac was thrilled.

Adam pointed out that MJ had done all of her work before leaving for St Thomas. Samuels pointed out that she had been warned. Adam pled . MJ feels like she makes a difference being a detective. Samuels demoted her. he apologised and left. Adam wants to tear Cass limb from limb.

Cecile presented Cass with a gold necklace as a pledge of faith.

Rachel is mad at Cass. Mac turned tail and fled as Brittany arrived. She told Rachel Peter was cold and mean and secretive all of a sudden. She's scared.

Michael promised Donna he'd restore Victoria to her soon. She's afraid he'll leave. He said he couldn't stand what she'd intended to do to Jake and it was likely he would. Necessary but not necessarily easy.

Cass and Cecile are stepping forward into their glorious future together. The necklace is a piece of the crown jewels of Tanquir. A symbol of her trust. He snapped the chain and said he was in control.

Kathleen told the Lindquists to sell her ring for St Mary's school.
