Dr Cheng has some sort of lead. Felicia and Mitch returned and said they'd found the lotus shop. It's barricaded. The gang was eager.
Nancy didn't say anything. Mac called her to the phone. Greg told her to bring Adam to Tony's apartment.
The idiot was alarmed. He tried to soothe Lisa but she screamed and screamed. She got away and stumbled into Jamie's arms.
Nancy refused to have Adam along. She told Greg she'd meet him alone in ½ hr. Greg left Mary's Place. Tony followed him.
The gang went to the lotus shop. The Fat Man hove into view, chuckling. He greeted them civilly. Michael called him Fats. He told him he suspected his brother had run out the back door. Tubby didn't admit anything. Michael offered money. Mitch warned him not to go for it. Michael sent Mitch and Felicia for the briefcase. He expects Tubby to deliver.
Jamie recognized the idiot. Charlie works for the Corys and lives on the estate. He borrowed the surgical gloves from the hospital because he's going to be a doctor someday just like Jamie. Everything's all right. Lisa apologized. Charlie wandered off. Jamie assured Lisa she was smart to have been cautious. He told her he'd had a dream about her walking in the woods. [Ye gods. More dreams.]
MJ was concerned. Nancy excused herself to go to her room. Ada went to talk with her. Greg phoned from a call box to ask if Nancy had left. Rachel was surprised. Ada came in to say Nancy had disappeared with her car. Greg heard and asked to talk to Adam. He said they had proof that Tony was the killer. He explained about the apartment but he was foully murdered before he could say where the apartment was. Adam thought they'd been cut off and called the police to put an APB out. Jamie and Lisa came in. Jamie explained about Charlie. Adam explained about Tony and Greg. Jamie said they'd passed a cab near a phone booth. Lisa started to hyperventilate. Adam and Jamie and MJ rushed out.
Tubby started packing. Felicia and Mitch returned with the briefcase and displayed the contents. Tubby gave directions to Alaska. Michael didn't put up a fight. Tubby himself claimed to be about to vacation at the North Pole. Felicia made a remark about his being well-insulated. Tubby: it's sad to see a woman of your renown reduced to making fat jokes. The gang left. It knows the Fat Man is lying. Michael said they should go see Dr Cheng.
Nancy arrived at the apartment. She noticed something had been moved. There's a map plotting the location of all the murders. Nancy was horrified. She found something of Maisie's, I forget what.
Michael said that John had been at the lotus shop. No one else saw him. He didn't say anything because they had guns aimed at all of them. It's Michael's guess the Fat Man has headed into the jungle. Let's go.
Siren.
Nancy gazed at the map, utterly distraught to think that she had loved a killer. She thought she heard Greg but it was Tony. Tony asked how she'd found the apartment. She accused him of having another woman and suggested they go to a restaurant to discuss it. He suggested they stay.
Donna brooded. Michael told her that John had had something on his mind he was going to tell him when he was blowed up. He described that last meeting. [In his memory Michael seemed so young. He had told him [John] all about how he was going to go home and settle down with Donna. John tried to talk him out of it, a little. They argued. Michael insisted they talk. John offered to tell him the truth. Suddenly he exploded.] Donna was relieved to hear John hadn't said anything but distressed to hear Michael was determined to finish the conversation.
Tony told Nancy he knew about her and Greg's suspicions and everything. Nancy was terrified. He said he'd turned the tables on Greg and followed him. Nancy pointed to all the incriminating things she'd found. He said she was wrong. She asked what he'd done to Greg.
Adam and MJ and Jamie found Greg's body in the phone booth. Adam ordered the cab inspected.
The Corys fretted. Ada got upset about Nancy. Mac tried to soothe her. She berated herself for having let Nancy live with Tony. Someone called with word of Greg.
Nancy accused Tony of having killed Greg. He denied it. She became hysterical. He refused to let her leave.
Dr Cheng told a completely incomprehensible story which Michael understood. Michael showed him the symbol on the Fat Man's luggage. Dr Cheng interpreted its significance. He offered to escort them into the jungle.
Luckily, MJ found Greg's journal detailing his shadowing of Tony. They found the address of the Wilcox apartments.
Nancy said she was going to the police. Sounding a little deranged, Tony said she was wrong. He detained her. She sank to the floor.
