Sandy asked Donna what she knew about Carl's business. She says nothing. She's not completely sure Carl won't return. Donna: I must be losing my mind. Sandy: Why? Donna: I just suddenly thought: if Carl were here he'd take care of me. Even in the worst times he always took care of me. If I did what he wanted he protected me. She said she needed somebody but she hated him. Sandy promised her everything would be all right and in an attempt to soothe her put his arms about her. She kissed him and apologized hastily. Sandy said (smirking rather) "No, no, it's all right . . . hey, look, you and I've been through a lot together. I mean it's only natural. It's nothing to be embarrassed about. " (She had kissed him rather . . . enthusiastically.) Donna told him he was a good man. He left, saying she could call him if she needed anything. She said (to herself) that means a lot to me.

He told her she'd have that sort of power over him if she lent him money. KISSING. She accepted. He wishes she worked in his bank. They discovered that they are lacking Dee. Tony called. They told him she's out buying maquillage. He's on his way over with her things. Cass: It's all my fault. She hated me so she ran away. Why can't I be lovable? Kathleen suggested wildly that they call the police. (Cass: Oh, yeah, right. Hello, police? Yes. I've lost my loan shark's niece.) Kathleen thinks p'r'aps Tony won't be that bad. She says they can't've been expected to keep tabs on her. (Kathleen: What are we supposed to do, chain her to the bed? Cass: You never know. In Tony's family that might be something they do.) They can't think where she's gone.
Dee's at Smiley's. Wallingford said she's incredible. Felicia said she knew her. Wallingford asked to be introduced. Felicia refused. Wallingford approached her himself. He wishes to have her for a mannequin model. (What of Sophia Loren?) Dee likes Felicia's clothes and Smiley's. She says Tony's sweet. And he's got this Cass guy teaching her charm. Maisie: Cass? What does Cass know about charm? Felicia: Nothing. Dee says Cass is weird but she might like him 'f he were different.
Carter told Grant what Tom said Quinn said. Grant's unthrilled. Carter thinks it's wrong. Grant says Carter should have a say. Carter thinks it's too late.
Quinn told Alice. Alice wants to talk to Tom herself. Make sure it's not Quinn's decision.
Peter doesn't like Emily being in jail pregnant. She won't let him tell the DA or Alice. She's averse to publicity.
Catlin went to the Loves' to yell at Peter. He yelled at Donna instead (Peter's not there). He told her she had to find out what was going on (why Peter's sticking with Emily). She asked after Sally and his happiness. He left hurriedly.
Grant dropped by to tell Quinn to butt out of Tom's life. Quinn claims she's keeping a clear head. Grant said she's irrational and emotional. He says Tom's career isn't everything. Quinn says that's because he's a man. He said he raised a child alone and he's a better person for it.
Tony was annoyed to find Dee gone. Kathleen intimated that Dee is difficult. Uncooperative. Free-sprited. Tony says he thinks not. Felicia and Wallingford and Dee returned. Tony told Dee she should've told someone where she was going. She said she didn't think they'd care. Tony said they'd all been worried sick. Cass said, "Absolutely. Don't you ever scare me like that again." Tony wants to talk to Cass alone. Everyone else rushed out under Rocco's supervision. Tony warned Cass to do this well. He left. Kathleen returned. She said she knew he could handle it. See ya said Cass. She grabbed his arm and stopped him.
