Victoria accused Reginald of letting her have this party for his Scott and Cheryl plan.
Adam stomped into Mary's Place looking for MJ. He said he was angry with her.
MJ was let into an apartment by Linda. She panicked and tried to flee, but Linda restrained her. MJ said she just wanted to be left alone. Linda told her to tell Him. MJ demanded to see Him. Linda said he was busy. A sweet young thing named Cassie arrived with her music for her appointment. MJ screamed at her to go away. She demanded again to see Him. Linda told her he was in the shower. She found MJ had a gun.
Adam is baffled by MJ's disappearance. He found Cheryl didn't know the McKinnons' old friend Linda. Cheryl went to get MJ's note. Enter Mary railing against MacIntyre, the owner of the building. Adam and Scott & Cheryl gathered ‘round. Mary said MacIntyre seemed scared. She said she was afraid Reginald was involved. Everyone except Scott accepted that theory readily. Cheryl: If your father framed mine then his next logical step would be to shut down this place. [I laughed.] Mary agreed reluctantly.
Reginald denied it. Victoria said she'd rather not invite them then. He said he wanted to make peace between the two families and Scott and Cheryl could help. Exit Victoria. Enter Peter. Peter told him Scott and Cheryl were investigating Vince's alibi. Reginald was not pleased.
Zack tried to boost Brittany's morale. Catlin arrived with the baby dressed as Santa Claus [the baby, not the man]. Brittany is still brooding about her jail term.
Cheryl and Scott quarrelled. Adam told them not to let their emotions interfere with the facts. Mary suddenly took off to do some important solitary Christmas shopping. Adam asked Cheryl to get the note. She told him perhaps MJ had been acting strangely because she was in love.
Linda told MJ she'd have to wait until He got out of the shower.
Catlin told Brittany how much he loved her and assured her she'd be acquitted. She was cheered.
Peter told Reginald that Brittany was as good as convicted. Reginald told him he was making a mistake, leaving the decision up to a jury of her peers. Peter the lily-white lawyer said he didn't have much choice.
Patricia Kirkland a school friend of Scott's phoned the Love mansion. Victoria was pleased to hear from her. She offered to pick her up from the airport and help her surprise him. "Poor Cheryl," she said.
Reginald told Peter he'd do anything to get Mary back. Enter Mary. She asked how far he would go.
Sara applied for a job at the Northwoods Inn. Catlin can't afford to keep her. Wallingford hired her.
Zack foisted his company on Quinn for lunch.
Mary asked Peter to make a noise like a hoop and roll away. He obliged. Reginald asked Mary to come back to him, at least for the holidays. She asked if he was responsible for their eviction from Mary's Place. He professed ignorance. She didn't believe him.
Cheryl gave Adam the note. It conveyed absolutely nothing to Adam. He feels frustrated and confused.
MJ decided she couldn't wait and burst into the bathroom. The sugar daddy emerged from the shower with nothing on (as men are wont to do) and attempted to kiss her neck. She told him not to touch her phone her write her or contact her in any way ever again. He told her she was still beautiful. She said she didn't want him to ruin Someone Else in her life. He was pained to hear she had found someone else after all they'd been to each other. She told him she'd told him it was over. She stomped out.
Mary accused That Old Carrot of trying to destroy the McKinnons. She told him not to play the victim with her. He asked where their love had gone. He begged her to spend Christmas with him. She told him she didn't trust him any more and she couldn't. He asked her to tell him she cared. He said the fact that she had dropped by instead of phoning proved it. She fled.
Victoria and Patricia chatted.
Zack was annoying. Quinn was annoyed.
Catlin and the baby had to leave. Brittany wept a little in a restrained fashion.
Reginald told Peter he had just bought the Wentworth Tower (the tallest building in Bay City). You can see clear across the bay to Chicago. (Oh, really?) He's going to move his offices in and live there a little. He means to open a restaurant and create a social mecca where people will come from all over the world. (Just because he says so. Yuck.) Peter pointed out that the Northwoods Inn would be stiff competition, especially if they opened on New Year's Eve. That Old Carrot said perhaps Felicia could be persuaded to forsake the inn and work for them.
Zack was annoying. Quinn is working because the weather's too bad to visit the Todds. He asked her to hang out with him. She stomped out.
Victoria assured Patricia Scott wasn't seeing anyone special.
Cheryl's nervous about Victoria's party. MJ returned to Mary's Place and apologised to Adam, saying she'd missed him. He asked what was wrong and where she'd been.
