Felicia and Zane decided they were lucky to have a friend like Wallingford. She's going to demonstrate her new peignoir for Zane. Heavy breathing etc. She likes his eyes. She thinks this just might be it.
Sally sent Kevin to bed but relented and said he could stay up 5 minutes more. He went to put on his pajamas. Sally: I am such a tough mom. Catlin: oh, I think you're the best. Sally: I love it when he stays up with us. Catlin: we're going to have a couple of great kids. [Why am I suddenly convinced that any children Sally has at this point will be don's grandchildren?] Sally: I think you're just a little bit premature. Catlin: oh, I believe in positive thinking. And I'm positively sure it's going to be a girl. As pretty as her mom. Sally: thanks. You've got a one track mind, Catlin.
Nancy had a nightmare about Carl accusing her of having forgotten Perry.
Marley found the house she'd seen in her dream. She wants to see the inside. He [Jake] wants to stop her.
Bridget thinks Marley should be warned. Victoria doesn't seem to care. She knows if Marley finds the house she'll find out all. Bridget's afraid they've been arrested. She advised Vic to go back and help them. Vic says if Marley gets in trouble that'll be what she deserves.
The house was locked. Marley broke in. Jake's distraught. Marley's finding everything as she dreamed it.
Trouble in paradise — my heart is gripped with a nameless fear. Catlin thinks something's the matter for no apparent reason. I guess he came across something.
Brittany charmed her way past security guards to ask Michaud a real big favor. She asked him to invite her to the gala. He already had the invite made-up. He says she owes him for the favour in spite of that. She admitted she knew Catlin would be there. He called her devious. He showed her Sally's dress. He offered her another dress for herself. He's thrilled she's there.
Catlin is upset about Michaud's invitation. He seems to be equally divided between suspicion of Michaud's motives and annoyance about tuxedo rental. Sally is not suspicious of Michaud and she says the party is important to her career. Catlin says he doesn't have to like it. She agrees.
Marley explored. Jake tied himself up in knots of agony. He doesn't want her to turn on the lights. There's no electricity so it doesn't matter. She wants to übernacht there. He muttered she sounded just like her. With her psychic twin link she described Victoria being unhappy in the house. He wants to leave.
DAMN. [just guess who this is.] She feels like one of the girls in her books. oh ICK. DAMN. Fools.
Nancy showed Chris the parcel from Carl of Perry's things. She's afraid to open it. Ada suggested she get rid of it. Nancy won't.
Some old woman noticed Bridget's house showing signs of habitation. A flashlight.
Marley found Victoria's bedroom. Jake implored her to leave. She loves the room. Victoria was lonely. She doesn't think anybody loves her. Jake seems to be given the creeps by this imagination run riot. Marley ignores him and talks about Victoria. Marley doesn't want to be protected although she's afraid. He told her not to change. She asked why he didn't love her. He said he did. Tearful embrace. Jake heard a noise and fled to investigate. She doesn't believe there's anything there. She says he just doesn't want her.
Ada's violently opposed to Nancy opening the box. Exit Ada. Nancy told Chris she'd loved Perry with a capital Z and hated Carl with a passion so she didn't know how to take the box.
Brittany loves her dress. She thinks the dress is wildly Sally. Brittany is astute. She guessed that Sally'd turned Michaud down so he had to lower Catlin's resistance. He laughed it off. She says Sally's dress was one to make women envious and hers would make strong men weak-kneed. She laughed. She likes Michaud.
Catlin got nasty about Michaud's importance in their respective schemes of things. She yelled at him for getting mad about Michaud when he went dashing off touring hotel rooms for weeks on end with Brittany and expecting her not to get upset. She sounded like she was ready to roll up her sleeves and really get down to business but he admitted he was in the wrong, taking the wind out of her sails rather. She told him he couldn't go getting upset about her career all the time. He said it wasn't that, it was that guy. They decided being married is hard sometimes and Sting makes sense [If you love someone]. Catlin collapsed [figuratively] and speculated on the likelihood of the presence of shrimp cocktail [he loves shrimp cocktail. I'm surprised he let Cass get away with so much of it. She loves him]. Catlin said a very weird but pleasant thing: "oh, man. You play me like a VI-O-LIN." They decided to make up. And did after their own peculiar fashion.
I assume Jake is sneaking about. He said etwas unintelligible.
DAMN. They're friends. He said he was building the boat to go treasure hunting in Lake Superior. The wreck of the Mary Jane. I may be obtuse but I'm not following a lot of this.
Nancy is going to prove she's no longer afraid of Carl.
Carl has been extremely helpful to the police as regards international smuggling. He's free to go for the nonce. His lawyer [some woman] advised him to be more careful. He intends to be a model Bay Citizen. She said the FBI would be suspicious. He says he has to go back because of Perry.
Nancy said "Carl."
Jake said "that's it" [was he destroying evidence?] A policeman arrested him. "Roger, cuff him." Jake said something akin to "oof."
