Catlin told Sally he'd make sure Brittany understood Josh Peterson no longer existed. Sally asked if that were true.
Donna returned home early. She saw Perry's car in the drive and asked Bridget where he was.
Jake and Marley are in Smiley's listening to Jake talk. Nancy arrived speaking French like mad. "I think it's trying to tell us something," said Jake. Nancy's brandishing her passport determined to go to Paris with Perry. NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP US NOW she said.
Victoria tried to stop Perry. He threw her across the loft into a corner with the nastiest look on his face. When he went down the ladder a rung snapped and after clutching at the edge momentarily he fell to the floor with Victoria looking on, aghast. She ran down the stairs to check on him.
Catlin insisted that Brittany was living in the past and things would work out if he set about them the right way. He figures telling Brittany that things have changed isn't good enough and he'll have to demonstrate. Spend more time with her, be gentler with her. Sally said that meant more time with Britt and less with her but Catlin said it would just be enough for her to see reality. Sally dashed off on a tangent about the REALITY that Brittany and Catlin had had a child and a home together [accent on the child]. Catlin said they [he and Sally] had a home even though he wasn't living there. She said it didn't look like he was going to be for quite some time and asked why she and Kevin should stay there. Catlin panicked and insisted she stay so that it would be quite obvious to the world that it was their home. He said she was his wife and he's her husband. She said that wasn't what the law said. He said he didn't care what the law said because that was how he felt. She was appeased mostly but she doesn't like the idea of the spending time with Brittany. She thinks it's dangerous. He said looking into her [Sally's] eyes was dangerous. [This is the way he changes the subject. Talks about her eyes.] He kissed her and asked if Kevin were there. She said he was at the Matthews' so Catlin picked her up. She said "Catlin" as if to object and he paused but she thought better of it and kissed him so he carted her off to the bedroom.
Zane and Brittany fishing. She's happy because of the letter. He told her Catlin would get the divorce. She said she was getting time by refusing it. Zane said time was no good. He pointed out that Catlin is in love with somebody else. She's being stubborn and refusing to listen and he keeps saying "Ay-ay-ay-ay-ay." Further fishing.
Bridget tried to stall Donna but finally admitted Perry was out in the stables. Donna said she'd go out there to see him but Bridget invented a rainstorm and said she'd go herself because she didn't want Donna to ruin her shoes. Donna acquiesced.
Victoria begged Perry be all right and clutched at his hair. She called an ambulance.
Marley and Nancy talked Paris hotels. Marley said Paris was the most beautiful city in the world. "Wait a second," said Jake, "have you ever been to ALTOONA, PENNSYLVANIA?" They ignored him and raved about food and shopping in Paris. "Have you ever been to Paris, Jake?" "No, but I spent a week one day in Altoona and I'll tell you that pretty much spoiled the rest the world for me." Further Paris chat. Jake and Marley asked Nancy what had convinced Ada to let her go. Nothing yet admitted Nancy but she'll come around, she's sure. And where's Perry? He's meeting her there.
Dee's enthusing to Wally about her new living arrangements. She has no money and no job. Wally has a friend who might have a job for her. She's all for checking it out.
A lot more Paris chat. Nancy wonders where Perry is. Jake suggested they all double date ce soir. Marley said she should study but they begged her to least wait for Perry to show up. Marley will call home. Nancy's singing "I love Paris etc.".
Victoria taking fits over Perry. Bridget appeared and had the situation explained to her in an irrational fashion. Victoria blames herself. What if he dies? She forced Victoria to hide as the sirens drew nearer. Donna heard them and went out to look into the matter.
Brittany played a fish and lost it. She blamed Zane. He good-naturedly blamed her back. They discussed eating beans for dinner. She's happy. He's happy. He thinks she should think about returning to Oregon. She doesn't want to talk about it.
Catlin and Sally in bed discussing how difficult it is to sleep at night alone. Catlin thinks they should go out tonight to celebrate [when Catlin considers celebrating an extramural activity we know the man is married] their 2 month anniversary. Sally pointed out they hadn't been married two months yet so Catlin amended it to almost two months but was not swayed in his determination to celebrate. He told her what she should wear for the outing. Fiftiesish it sounds like.
Donna went with Perry in the ambulance.
The job is at a carnival. Dee will do anything as long as it's legal. Lou will give her a $500 advance. Dee went to find out what it is. Wally's squeamish.
Victoria came out of hiding still hysterical. She told Bridget the whole story. Bridget said everything would be all right. Victoria's afraid he'll come around and squeal. Marley called and Bridget told her about the accident. Marley told Nancy and Jake. They all left. Nancy's wild. Jake's perturbed.
Catlin and Sally are at a drive-in watching The Blob without sound. [Catlin claims to know all of the dialogue.] When it ended to while away the time until RETURN OF THE BLOB started Sally started a popcorn fight which she subsequently won for the simple reason that she had custody of the box of ammunition. Even then they still had quite a few minutes to kill so Catlin cleverly thought of a way to kill them.
Brittany wished on a star to always have a friend like Zane. He said she'd have him. He brought up Oregon again. She said he could go back but he says if she stays he stays. He told her about Catlin's coming to the motel while she was out. She was mad he hadn't told her. He said he thought she needed time to think. She wants to go.
Everyone at the hospital is upset. Worried. Especially Nancy. Perry is in serious condition. She wants to see him but Dr. Edwards says not now. Jake had to leave. Donna's wondering why Perry was in the hayloft.
Dee's job is sitting on a board for people to hit a target and dunk her. She's good at capturing their attention and annoying them. Lou gave her $500. She accepted his offer right off the bat. Lou left. Dee's pleased. Wallingford told her she should've negotiated. Dee's soaking wet and talking about her guaranteed fame.
Victoria's still raving and breathing funny. Jake arrived and took her in his arms to comfort her. Bridget and Victoria between them managed to explain the situation. Jake said they'd straighten this thing out and as of now the plan was officially off.
Nancy's crying. The doctor's subdued. He'll let Nancy see him now.
Donna called the Loves' and told Bridget Perry was still unconscious. Victoria raved a lot more about the money and the seriousness of the condition. Bridget said Jake had to take her away from the house now.
Marley's worried about Perry's condition. He was like a brother to her. She's scared and crying. Donna's comforting her.
Nancy talked to Perry about Paris. She called him sweetie and said he had to get better. She told him she loved him and felt his face a lot. He just kept beeping away not dying but unconscious. She cried.
