Sam helped Amanda breathe. All she was thinking about was grilled cheese.
Felicia was upset because Mitch was going out running instead of having breakfast with her. She was surprised when Matthew emerged from the shower and ambivalent when the knock she'd thought was room service turned out to be Lisa.
Cass brooded. Nicole was surprised to find him home. He asked where she'd been last night. She looked guilty. The best defence was a good offence. Nicole accused Cass of phoning and hanging up. He said that was stupid, he lived there, why would he have done that. Nicole admitted she'd been with Drew. Cass: where did you go? Nicole: St. Barts. Cass: I've never heard of it. Nicole: it's a little island — Cass: THE ISLAND? THE ISLAND ST. BARTS? Nicole: so you have heard of it. Cass: HE TOOK YOU TO AN ISLAND OVERNIGHT? I suppose he had a private plane. Nicole: well, yes, he did. Cass: WELL NOW WE KNOW WHAT KIND OF MAN HE IS, DON'T WE? HE'S USING YOU, CAN'T YOU SEE THAT? She said they were forging a business partnership. Cass pointed out that they lived together and he had a right to be concerned. She said he was making too much of it.
The Lamaze instructor, Ronnie Lawrence, assured Sam that Amanda was concentrating hard enough. She left. Amanda told Sam he worried too much. She made him breathe to relax.
Mitch and Felicia have conflicting schedules.
Mary refused to tip Cheryl. She ran into John on her way out. He said they had to talk. He told her his guys needed something important to do and he thought the hospital could save money by hiring him because there would be a subsidy for veterans. Jason rolled in and asked if they were all set.
Cass and Nicole were fighting when Felicia and Lisa came in. Nicole ran upstairs. Cass stomped out. Felicia went after him.
Mary promised to think about it in spite of Jason. Cheryl took off. Kevin was disappointed. Mary decided to stick around until Vince got back. Tracy joined Matthew and Kevin. Kevin didn't seem thrilled to see the other two so close. Zack and Courtney came in. Zack told John there weren't enough grants. Courtney lost a brother to Vietnam. Jason approached Mary. She told him she was waiting for Vince. He said it would give them a chance to talk. She said Vince would throw him out.
Felicia told Cass to grow up. He was hurt that she would take Nicole's side. [et tu, Felicia?] She advised him to communicate with Nicole. He decided to top Drew's stunt by proposing. Felicia clutched her head.
Matthew and Tracy woke Sam up when they knocked on the door to say they were going to sunbathe on the roof. Amanda was a little alarmed to find that she was horrified at the thought of sunbathing in May. Sam said they were getting old. Amanda's top is a stupid loose thing that's gathered in front for no reason. I hate it.
Kevin and Mitch worked. Kevin said how much he liked Felicia and how nice Mitch and Felicia's relationship was. Better than his parents'. He talked about Cheryl. Mitch told him Cheryl was very nice but shy.
Cheryl caught up with Lisa and Felicia at Nicole's. They all tried on clothes. Felicia produced a charge card and they left laden with parcels. Cass found Nicole alone.
Jason told Mary that John and his men were more important than he was. Mary accused him of emotional blackmail and refused to do this. She stomped into the kitchen. John told Jason he didn't think his help was doing them any good. Jason left. Mary came out of the kitchen.
Cass tried to get Nicole to come to lunch. She said she was too busy and he ought to be too. Cass said he'd done his work while she was on St Barts. She told him he was getting on her nerves.
Mitch helped Kevin develop some of his photographs. They figured these photos will create a topic of conversation Kevin can try on Cheryl. Mitch left. Kevin pinned a photo of Tracy up to dry.
Sam and Amanda hit the floor when someone started pitching rocks or bricks through their [closed] window.
Mitch brought flowers home. Felicia was surprised to see him. He also had a framed photograph. She gave him a sexy nightie.
Nicole got upset because Cass has yelled at her so much. She told him Drew talked to her and listened to her and made her feel special. He was about to tell her he'd intended to propose to her over lunch when she said Drew had proposed to her.
Lisa phoned Jamie and arranged to meet him. John told Mary he'd see her at the hearing. Cheryl came downstairs in her new dress but was unable to waylay him. Kevin came in and complimented Cheryl a lot. She was pleased. He was disarmingly candid. He showed her his photos. She said they were good. She pointed out someone lurking behind Tracy in the photo. Kevin rushed out.
Sam got mad. Amanda insisted she was fine. Sam collapsed.
