Jake to the rescue.
Mac and Rachel helped at the bar & grill. Everyone is harping on about the place having no name. Kathleen is worried about Cass, natch.
Cass threatened Cecile most horribly. He said she was ruining his life. She told him Marcia, Gloria, Czaja, and LaRusso would lay down their lives for their queen and his as well. Cass was revolted. If he doesn't behave himself they will start laying down his life with abandon and that would sadden Cecile. She assured him he would have been miserable married to Kathleen. He extolled Kathleen's virtues. She told him not to complain about traveling with the woman he had always loved [viz Cecile]. He informed her that her crown was screwed on too tightly. He asked what she wanted. She let him know it was his body.
MJ promised she'd find Cass for Kathleen. Vince hates having all of these friends help. Catlin assured him he would do just about anything for a free meal. At this point Mac mentioned Maisie and I collapsed, helpless with mirth. Enter Sally. She surprised Catlin by ordering a drink right off. She told him she'd felt like someone was following her but, hey, that's silly, who would want to follow her? Enter Brittany. She was on about the place having no name too. Ada asked after Jake. She worries about him.
Sounds of young [!] men thrashing about in an alley. Vic couldn't stand it any longer and pulled them apart. Jake told Neal if he ever caught him pawing her again he'd rip his head off. [Great threat, Jake. I'm impressed.] Exit Neal. Sinister seductive music. Vic recalled time when Jake had bashed Jimmy Davenport for love of her. She said he still loved her and put her face very close to his. He denied still loving her. She told him he wouldn't have threatened Neal like that if he didn't care and asked why he couldn't admit it. He said he did care but drop it. She asked if she could come to the bar & grill. He said OK. In coming out of the alley they ran into Maisie and Nancy bidding Smiley's a fond farewell. Nancy let Vic know she was suspicious.
Vince cannot be trusted to think of a name on his own. Mac made soup. Sally ran into Brittany in the ladies' room and interrogated her about whether she'd followed her. Britt was uncivil and denied it before stomping out.
Cecile dismissed Czaja et al. They were concerned for her safety. Cass refused to go to bed with Cecile because of Kathleen. He also refused to let her change his clothes. He suspects her of ulterior motive. She reminded him of their special chemistry.
Nancy dragged Dee away from some man to tell her Jake and Victoria had been Making It in his room. She knows because she can tell. As soon as Jake and Victoria arrived Jake rushed to Marley's side. Brittany took Vic on a tour. Chris and Peter arrived and Nancy dragged Dee into the kitchen. [Chris interpreted this as Nancy being nervous around him.] The hearing is tomorrow. [so soon!] Peter said he wanted to find his wife but I noticed he rushed straight to MJ and commenced feeling her back. Ho ho. Vince has been thinking about Mary. Likewise Kathleen about her loved one.
Cass explained to Cecile in words of one syllable that the answer was NO. Even for huge sums of money. He asked pitifully why he was the victim when she could have her pick. She informed him that he was unique. Chemistry. She said she wouldn't let him go. He was touched. Serious kissing and moaning. He dumped her down and made a break for it. She rang a bell and Czaja stopped him before he got out of the room. Cecile soothed Cass by saying Kathleen had been a mere Cecile substitute. He begged her to let him go.
Marley offered her ear to Kathleen. Kathleen sent her to her man. Nancy stood around saying in tones of anguish "POOR Marley." Chris stopped her and made small talk about change being good. He told her about the big day tomorrow. Conversation languished. Nancy retreated to the kitchen where she saw Victoria conspicuously drop a letter. Vic went out to the back alley and ran into Neal. He apologized. She said she might need another letter. He said he still wanted her. She told him it was good to have a goal. Inside Nancy scooped up the letter as Ada and Brittany discussed prairie oysters. Nancy dragged Dee away from that man to read her the letter which offered to reveal to Marley all of the foul things Jake had done with Victoria in the mine. PO Box 5548.
Cecile summoned Marcia and Czaja with the command "off with his clothes."
Dee and Nancy interrogated Marley closely about her mail. Marley told Jake they were behaving strangely.
Cass protested on the grounds that the line was "off with his HEAD." Sudden VOLTE-FACE [how too Harlequin, that]. He agreed, although he made it clear that he was not a performing seal and would tolerate no spectators or people hanging around the door. Cecile banished her loyal subjects with great haste. She was soon reduced to begging. Cass skillfully bound her hands with the cord of her robe and shoved a handkerchief in her mouth.
After much debate it was declared that the name of the place was "Mary's Place." Vince was overwhelmed. Victoria left. Nancy told me she was going to write to PO Box 5548 for proof. Kathleen believes Cass will return.
Cass' thoughts tend toward lifeboats. Cecile fumed.
