Cass assured MJ that this plan would work.
Ada was at the employment agency waiting with Vince. They are in competition.
Donna is a gatecrasher. She wants to say something. She said it was the most difficult thing she'd ever done. She explained herself. She said it had taken her a long time to realize that honesty was important. She wants to make up for her mistakes and apologize for thinking that those present would hold this against her innocent children. The party started up again. Cass persuaded MJ that this would be best in the end. He took another unwelcome call. He said the answer was NO but the caller said something to convince him to go off somewhere.
Vince and Ada filled out forms. Vince was obnoxious. There is only one job. Vince doesn't think she can handle it. They set out in a hurry for an apartment night shift job.
Marley was pleased with Donna. Mac told her he admired her. Peter approved. Donna looked at Michael and Sherri. Sherri told him he had to do something. Talk to her. Donna seems crushed. The Loves decided to go. Brittany convinced Peter to stay. Marley went with Donna. [Jake went too.] Catlin summoned Peter to the phone. Nancy's eyes are glued to the door in case of Chris [she denies it]. Quinn's escort loves Rachel's work. On the way out Donna apologized to the Ewings for crashing. The brides and grooms wished each other well. Exit Donna et al. Sally was thrilled to hear that Kathleen was coming. Felicia is mad because Cass is missing. Enter Cass. Enter Wallingford. Kathleen's right behind him. Cass and his women hit their battle stations. Enter Chris and Vic. Brittany hastened to inform them of Donna's speech. Vic caught sight of Michael and understood all. Michael has an appointment. Britt warned Chris off Vic. Chris assured Vic he and Nancy were through. She said he deserved a reward.
Vince told Ada that it was a man's job. Mr. Rodriguez appeared. Vince informed him that he was the man for the job.
Near tears Nancy told Neal Vic was a tramp and she hated her. One wonders what she's doing to der Chapin [and in public, no less]. Catlin helped Kathleen with her wheelchair. Everyone but Cass welcomed her. She took one look at the bevy and wheeled out. Cass didn't notice until Felicia brought it to his attention.
Donna felt faint. She was excessively civil to Jake, especially after Marley said she'd stay with her overnight. Marley apologized for her accusations. They embraced. Donna apologized. Marley suggested they start over. Donna insisted she go with Jake to pick up her overnight stuff. Left alone she thought about Michael saying he'd never forgive her etc. Michael appeared and scared her half to death. He assured her Sherri wasn't hiding in the bushes too. She informed him she hadn't made her speech for his benefit. He said either she was a hell of an actress or she had guts. They reminisced. The best laid plans of mice and men gang aft agley. They seem to want to try again. He ALMOST believes her when she says that's why she did what she did tonight. He's happy to have two daughters. Tender Love. She invited him in. He declined. Goodnight Donna. She was left with a daffodil.
Chris feels bad about Nancy. Victoria told him he was such a nice guy. He said he'd love to figure her out. Vic suggested he talked to Nancy. Neal spoke to her sharply about hurting Nancy. She was unperturbed. Quinn's date is an assistant DA named David. Chris: how are you doing? Nancy: you have lipstick on your mouth. [He scrubbed at it.] It's still there. I think it's indelible. He tried to apologize but she assured him it hadn't meant that much to her either, she just hated seeing him make a jerk of himself over Victoria Love. Cass blamed MJ for not keeping Kathleen. He's frustrated. He left. [He is recently scarfless, since the phone call.]
The brunette fingers have Cass' monogrammed scarf.
Vince put himself forward. Rodriguez had hired his brother-in-law. Ada and Vince yelled at each other as they left.
When Vic heard Nancy approaching she snatched up the phone and pretended to be having a wicked conversation with Jake. She [wide eyed] told Nancy it was a female friend from Lassiter. Nancy yelled at her for sneaking around with Jake. Vic told her she and Chris were becoming close. Nancy brought up Jake again. Vic suggested she tell Marley what was going on.
Sarah the nurse restored Kathleen to her kitchen and left. Kathleen is upset with Cass. Enter the very man.
Tender Love. Michael lay around with no shirt on. Donna mooned about on the terrace.
Vic [ever the innocent] asked if it were a crime to be friends. Nancy was incredulous. She's certain Vic and Jake are betraying Marley. Vic suggested again that she called Marley.
In the parking garage Ada told Vince he was a clay-brained bully, a male chauvinist pig, and a chowderhead. He called her a harpy. They backed into each other.
Kathleen told Cass she hated him and started throwing pots and pans. He tried to block them with his arms. He said he loved her.
