Rachel and Mac are setting out for the party. Enter Neal. He wasn't invited. He was willing to go and look at Nancy at Smiley's for them. The Love invitation arrived. Neal commented on the complicated twisted lives lived by the Loves.
Jake demanded the truth. She wanted to talk about how Marley had taken him away from her. She sobbed and said he she loved him. He said he didn't care. She begged him to say that wasn't true. Enter Donna. Vic recovered herself. He's certain one of them changed the invitations. Donna maintained that it was a mistake. ["What kind of a fool do you think I am, Donna?" "you don't really want me to tell you that."] He told them to stay put while he called the printer. The printer gave him the mistake story. He could not be shaken. Jake was not convinced.
People rejoiced all over the place. Felicia tried to toast Sally and Catlin. Catlin told Cass about the foreign woman who called. Cass said it had to be a crank. Liz waved the Love wedding invitation under Clarice's nose.
Peter refused to go to the party. He and Britt argued. She accused him of being hung up on Sally and said she'd seen her flirting with him. He said that was nonsense. He said they didn't belong at that party. She accused him of being embarrassed because she was pregnant. He denied it. She told him she'd make it worth his while to go. She produced his tuxedo. He laughed and agreed to go. He was wary of the red sequinned dress. She said it was a declaration of her pride in him and his baby. He said he liked that.
Neal tried to analyze his need for Mac's approval. Nancy was all womanly concern until he burst out laughing. Enter Jake all dressed up. Exit Jake making pumpkin jokes. Nancy wishes she could go to the party. Neal suggested they crash. Nancy has an invitation but she has to work. They looked beseechingly at Maisie [Neal, for one, looked adorable]. Maisie can't spare her. Enter Dee, NANCY'S BEST FRIEND IN THE WHOLE WORLD all of a sudden.
Vince told Sherri his life story and found he was too late to be Michael's chauffeur. Exit Vince. Enter Michael. He's taking Sherri to the party.
Cass wants MJ to call Kathleen. She doesn't feel she can. Sally agreed to do it although she's not 100% in favour of Cass' plot. Rachel was not thrilled when Cass' women greeted Mac with unseemly warmth. Kathleen wouldn't talk to Sally.
Donna showed up at Michael's office. He said he didn't hate her but he could never forgive her for hurting Marley. She said she wanted to change. He told her she had sent the invitations because she was a coward. She said she cared what he thought of her. He said not to bother about him. They said they'd loved each other. Enter Sherri. Exit Michael and Sherri. Donna found her own way out.
Dee was convinced to break her extremely unthrilling date in order to sub for Nancy. Exit Neal and Nancy.
Jake picked up Marley from the Loves'. [she keeps her evening clothes there.] He apologized to Victoria for his suspicions. She told him she loved him but she'd survive. Marley deserves happiness. Jake felt uncomfortable. Jake left with Marley. Victoria was cheerful to the bitter end.
Liz was scandalized to see Brittany at the party. Sally was firm. Cass is frustrated. 4 phone calls have yielded nothing. Wally likes the women. Cass sent him to get Kathleen. The women fiddled with his hair. He said not yet.
Vince complained to Maisie about Cass and MJ. They looked at their wedding invitations. Vince doesn't like the Loves. He Knows Something about them.
Jake got around to telling Marley they weren't eloping. She was delighted. They agreed to be married in July. Britt refused to dance with Peter pleading tiredness. He went to dance with Sally. She went and asked Catlin to dance. Cass told a mysterious phone caller he had enough on his mind without his or her calling. Michael went to make a phone call. Neal introduced him to Nancy Marley's friend. Nancy was impressed. Felicia told her she was hoping Chris would come. Liz is spreading the news about Donna. Britt returned to her seat. Peter was unthrilled. His tone was ominous. She let on that the guest of honour had forced himself on her.
Vince went to an employment agency. Victoria gave DA hard time. Dee explained Nancy was at a party. Vic promptly phoned Chris to suggest they go there.
Kathleen is on her way with the nurse. MJ's nervous. Cass is set for phase 2. Enter Donna. A hush fell and the gathering cleared a space for her.
