ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

September 16, 1986

Jake arrived at the Love mansion. Donna wouldn't let him see Marley because she was still in her wedding dress. Michael waylaid him to have a little chat about a vulture.

Peter let his father know he had recognised Mary. He was too, too coy for words.

Mac was overwhelmed. Rachel was pleased. Mac was gallant as all hell. He loves Rachel in all her guises.

Felicia was revolted. Mitch calmed her down. He told her to phone Mac and tell him to shut up about Reginald. She refused. He threatened to abandon her. She phoned Mac and gibbered at him.

Peter kept hinting. He told his father of Marissa's plan to reunite the Love family. He pointed out that staying in Bay City could lead to Lunch With Scott and Meeting Other People. Quel worrisome thought. Reginald got tired of the hinting.

Donna wanted to sit in. Michael told her it was Man Talk. She told him she didn't think there was any need to tell Jake the facts of life. (Can you see Michael telling Jake about the birds and the bees?) He said they just wanted to get to know each other better alone and kissed her into submission. Exit Donna. Michael warned Jake that Reginald might do terrible things to him to lure Marley away. Jake said he'd look after Marley. Michael warned him to look after himself.

Cheryl is thrilled to be one of Marley's bridesmaids. She told MJ Scott was Reginald's son. Scott stomped in. They told him Reginald might have been responsible for Mary's death. MJ suggested he move. He said he wanted to talk to Vince.

Reginald's admitted Peter was right. (About what? we cry.) He raved on at great length about how wonderful she was. Peter thinks love is swell. He said he wanted to be Reginald's son. Reginald was delighted and said they could be partners. He asked Peter to get him and Marissa out of Bay City quickly.

Mac and Rachel and Felicia sat around saying bad things about Reginald. Mitch answered the door to protect Felicia. It was Cass and Kathleen. They all sat around blaming Reginald some more. Mac said they should phone the police.

Michael and Jake chatted in the same vein for a bit. Michael approves of Jake as a son-in-law. Such fun, to be Jake's father too. He said he felt like he had three children. (The question is, does he? is Scott a triplet?) Michael: and now I have a son . . . until somebody better comes along. Jake: and I have a father . . . until something better comes along. Exit Jake. Enter Adam. He told Michael all about his finds. Reginald owns the Lansing Hotel and the Coronet Hospital in Chicago.

Peter said they could get through to Mary through Scott. Reginald was pleased. Peter phoned Brittany and told her he'd be right home. Enter Mitch with the tea.

Kathleen phoned Vince and told him about Scott. MJ prevented him trying to kill the boy. Scott said he could explain. Vince refused to listen. Scott insisted.

Mac phoned the police and told Felicia he was cancelling the exposé. Felicia objected. Everyone tried to reason with her for her own protection. Felicia refused to knuckle under. Mac said he'd have to accept responsibility for the exposé himself. (Is this an elaborate ploy on Mac's part to get a byline? is the man having a relapse?)

Michael and Adam shut up chatting when Donna appeared. Michael asked Adam to be his best man. Adam accepted and left. Donna asked Michael to move into her room. He was tempted but refused to leave the stables. They went out to check them out.

Peter asked Brittany to release her frustrated hatred in the direction of Scott and Mary.

Scott insisted he wasn't Reginald's son. MJ made Vince listen. Scott was adopted. He doesn't know who his natural parents are. He's trying to find them. He was born in Bay City. That's why he's there. (Oh god. He's a triplet.) Vince was not appeased. Scott said it didn't matter who his father was or who had raised him, he was himself. Mary knows he was adopted and she's helping him but she doesn't know much. MJ took Scott's side.

Mitch told Reginald he didn't like what he was doing to Felicia in particular. He threatened to expose him. Knocking. Mitch was sent out the back way. Enter Felicia. She told Reginald the only thing that would stop her writing the articles would be her death. She returned the rat. Exit Felicia.

Mac and Michael Rachel missed Felicia and were worried.

Cass and Adam argued the merits of going by the book and not going by the book. Cass told him he was going to help. Adam told him he wasn't. Cass said he was . . .

Brittany wished Donna and Michael eternal happiness. They are counting on it.

Felicia gave herself up to weeping. Mitch picked the lock and brought food. He insisted on staying to protect her. She protested. He insisted.
