ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

March 16, 1987

Scott complained. Trish laughed. She advised him to remove his clothes.

Adam fretted. Murtaugh insisted Josie was safe. Adam and MJ got upset because Captain Delaney might provoke the real killer by bragging about their capture.

Josie was killed.

Donna said there were three people in the photo. She can't distinguish the third face. Michael suggested she might have a mental block. They decided to call Dr Glaser now, even though it's so late. They left a message. Michael dragged her off to bed.

Adam brooded over Miller's confession. Captain Delaney told the press only that they had a suspect in custody. Adam noticed Tony wasn't present and sent Val to look for him.

The killer put Josie's body in the trunk of her car with a note. Poor Josie.

Scott splashed and groused but insisted he wasn't over Cheryl. Trish was very sympathetic, but she coaxed nonetheless. She reminded him of Majorca. He said he needed more time to forget Cheryl. She tried but he left.

Adam bossed people around like crazy. Captain Delaney bugged him. Adam and MJ said that Miller was too happy about being caught. MJ tried to feed Adam. He took some convincing. She left. Murtaugh and Captain Delaney sat around with Adam. Delaney conceded that Miller had been too easy. Val phoned to say that Tony had been found in MJ's telephone booth.

Chad was in MJ's car, eager to party. She was not thrilled. She demanded his alibi. He said he'd been working late at Tops. He said they were celebrating the arrest of the killer. Chad was hurt that she could suspect him of something so rough as killing women. [Delicate shudder, here.] Chad is really rather repulsive. He bugged her. She got upset. She asked what he wanted. He asked for Linda's book. She denied everything indiscriminately, including his hold over her. He was confident.

Cheryl studied. Scott sloshed in and said he'd been to a party. They gazed at Mary's portrait. Scott said she'd been happy in Paraguay. MJ arrived. She said, "good grief" upon seeing the portrait and resolved to talk to Pops. Scott made a bizarre and completely uncalled for comment about the McKinnon girls always getting their way and stomped up to bed. MJ went to the kitchen. Chad crept in with Cheryl's lovely pictures. Chad flattered her shamelessly. She begged him not to tell her family. Enter MJ.

Adam bugged Tony. He very cunningly asked why he had been investigating for a feature if they'd arrested the killer. Tony laughed at their bogus arrest. Adam accused him of having inside knowledge. Tony decided to leave.

Donna had a nightmare about the photograph. "it's HIM" she cried. She told Michael she couldn't remember. He said they knew it was a man, at least, and suggested possibilities such as Reginald and Dr. Bowden. Donna became very agitated and said she couldn't remember. She was frustrated. Michael soothed her. [A him SHE KNOWS?]

Adam said they had to find an alibi for Miller at the time of some other killing. Murtaugh opposed him. Captain Delaney suggested Murtaugh get some sleep. Murtaugh is divorced from a woman named Marge. They have boys, plural. Adam didn't know this. Captain Delaney has been divorced for 12 years. He's a grandfather. They blame the job. Adam said MJ, being a cop, understood these things. Captain Delaney and Murtaugh made ostensibly reassuring noises in very bleak tones of voice. [" I certainly hope she does, Adam. FOR YOUR SAKE." "No, of course not. YOU'RE different."] Adam changed the subject.

Tony found a note on his car. "To the reporter who writes about the killer. Cops are dumb. Have the wrong man. I can't be fooled. I stalk the sinners."

MJ snapped at Cheryl and told her she'd have a squad car take her home. Cheryl was bewildered. MJ brooked no resistance. Exit Cheryl. MJ ordered Chad to stay away from Cheryl. He said he wanted Linda's book. Exit Chad. MJ phoned up a tail for Chad. Cheryl overheard. MJ said Chad was a suspect. Tony drifted in to phone Brava. He's onto his tail. He's smarmy. MJ turned Cheryl over to Tony's tail and said she'd follow Tony herself.

Dr Glaser went to see Donna. She told him she wanted desperately to know what was in the photograph. She told him everything she remembered. He talked a lot of nonsense. He wound up saying they should find out why she didn't remember.

MJ turned Tony's tail over to someone else and distributed food to the cops. Adam and Murtaugh disagreed with each other at every opportunity. The printing set doesn't match. Adam said he was worried because he hadn't been able to get in touch with Josie. Josie's husband phoned. Josie never arrived. The flight was cancelled. Adam told him not to worry. Murtaugh got upset.

This music again. Scott and Cheryl?

Donna fretted. Michael soothed her. Dr Glaser said she had to be patient and go for regular therapy.
