ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

December 15, 1987

Jamie reminded Vicky she'd had an accident lately. She gave in and let him drive. She looked suspiciously like a person without snow tires.

The doctor convinced Amanda to have the pregnancy test.

Felicia told Mitch she could explain. He accused her of trying to hide the affair from him for some sinister reason. Felicia insisted that it was the most innocuous thing. He said it made a difference because it demonstrated a want of trust. Sam knocked. Mitch left. Sam apologized very sweetly to a weeping Felicia and tried to reassure her. He went to chat with Mitch.

Rachel found Lisa struggling with such vagaries as dollops. She's pleased Jamie loves her.

Amanda waited unhappily beside a huge obviously fake pregnant woman who was very dissatisfied with the state. She moves all wrong. The doctor suggested they talk in her office.

Sam tracked Mitch to Tops and said he should tell him his troubles. Mitch said he'd found out Felicia was having an affair with Cass. When Sam realized that Mitch's secondary sequence was out of whack and the affair was long past he wondered what the big deal was. Felicia came up to settle this. She gave Sam Gerard's dessert to deliver to Lisa. [Address: 1322 Tompkins Place.] She told Mitch she loved him. He asked why she had tried to keep their relationship from Rex[-as-Cass] at first. She said she hadn't wanted to seem happy in the face of his grief. He asked how she would have felt if he'd tried to keep them from Rachel. She looked strickesn. Having scored a point, he headed for the elevator.

Ada and Mac arrived chez Lisa. Everyone was at pains to assure her they loved what she was cooking. Amanda arrived looking quite sick. Rachel asked what was wrong. Amanda just stared.

Jamie and Vicky left his house call. They slid. He pulled over and found she didn't have snow tires after all. They couldn't get moving again. She insisted on going to find a phone with him.

Felicia detained Mitch. She told him he knew everything about her and Cass now. He asked why it had ended. She insisted she and Cass were only friends. He left to fetch Matthew. John showed up. Felicia hinted at her troubles. John saw they had a lot in common.

Jamie and Vicky found a locked store. Vicky complained she was cold. She produced a credit card. Jamie fiddled with the lock. They burst in eagerly but the phone was dead. Jamie said Lisa would be worried.

Amanda made an effort to be cheerful Mac excluded Rachel from tree decorating. Amanda phoned Julie Ann and left a message on her machine. She joined in decorating the tree and fumble an ornament into the eggnog. Sam came delivering the dessert. He stared at Amanda. She looked away. There was an awkward moment. Sam declined Lisa's offer of eggnog and left. Amanda left the room. Mac explained that she and Sam had recently broken up. Lisa discovered from the hospital that Jamie was held up in a house call.

Jamie fiddled with the phone. It remained dead. He tried to get the stove going. He said he was afraid they'd have to spend the night there. Vicky was not displeased. He draped her in a quilt to keep her warm.

Felicia told John to go home. John was cynical about Christmas. Felicia decided to reform him.

Rachel asked Mac if she could ride home with him. He did not appreciate her making everyone aware they were on the outs, but agreed. They left. Ada did the clearing away. Amanda phoned Julie Ann again but didn't get through. She told Ada it wasn't important. She's somewhat confused about Sam.

Mitch returned to Tops. He and Sam found the weather was the only safe topic to discuss.

Vicky got some music out of an antiquated radio and swiped some food from somewhere. Beans and fruitcake. She chatted about Bridget and Christmas. He chatted about Mac and Christmas. The phone rang so they knew it was working. Jamie called Lisa to report he was stranded. The phone died again before he could say where they were or even that Victoria was with him.

Mitch admitted he wanted to talk to Felicia. Sam said he'd run into the Corys at Lisa's behaving wealthily. Mitch said he'd talked to Amanda and she really cared for him. They decided to go to Gino & Dominic's for pizza.

Amanda sat in her car and cried despairingly, thinking of happier times with Sam.

Jamie regretted not having managed to tell Lisa Victoria was there so she could call Michael. He advised Victoria she would be warmer under the quilt the fewer clothes she wore. They undressed. [I saw no bra straps. I don't believe it.] They lay down under the quilt. Jamie seemed disturbed.
