ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

October 14, 1987

Donna did not tell That Old Carrot what she'd found. Cass and Nicole arrived. That Old Carrot suggested that Victoria was in a coma not so much because of her injury but because of fear of consciousness.

Dr Ungler barred Lisa from the hospital. He threatened to ruin Jamie when he objected.

John was incredulous. Michael asked him if he knew what had happened. John said he had no idea since he hadn't been there. Michael thought he was a wee bit defensive. He assured him that Adam would find the attacker. Rape is a terrible, terrible thing and no one should be allowed to get away with it. (Michael's sentiments. John is presumably feeling weird because Donna ran around talking about rape so soon after they had been naked in bed together. Need I say I find them both disgusting?) Michael said he wouldn't give up until he found the guy.

Dr Ungler is warped about psychics. He's verging on irrational.

Nicole decided to tell Victoria about her fashion show.

Scott told Dawn they had to talk alone. The dress is affecting her brain. Ada helped her change. Scott came back.

Jamie appealed to Donna. She went to fetch Michael. Cass went with Nicole. That Old Carrot recognised Lisa as the woman who had been abducted by the psychopath. Dr Ungler said that Jamie wanted her to help Victoria. (And why shouldn't she? She can hardly be blamed for being abducted. Note the passive.) That Old Carrot sided with Dr Ungler. Michael told Dr Ungler off. He threatened to have Victoria moved if Jamie was not allowed to do as he saw fit. Dr Ungler said he would allow sense stimuli but no Lisa. Jamie decided to ignore him. The Hudsons encouraged him. Peter whispered to Donna to meet him outside. She followed him after a couple of minutes. That Old Carrot warned Peter not to get himself in trouble.

John thought about the night nothing happened on the boat. When Donna appeared he snarled that he hoped she wasn't building Michael up to tell him he had raped her.

Scott and Dawn were left alone. He told her he REALLY liked her and he'd like to date her steadily. He told her he'd been seeing another girl before he met her. She said it didn't matter. He kissed her. Cheryl stumbled across them and stumbled out. Dawn clued in.

Donna made John understand the difficulty of the position she'd been in. She assured John she wouldn't have involved him. He suggested they tell Michael the truth, before Victoria did. She showed him what she'd found in Victoria's purse. They embraced for comfort. Michael came out and said it was good to see them getting along. He said Jamie wanted to see them. Donna went after him.

Lisa held Victoria's hand as the clan looked on. Jamie told Victoria what was going on. Lisa asked her to try to communicate through her. She heard her voice asking her not to let go. Donna sobbed and fell into Michael's arms.

Scott told Dawn the details of his relationship with Cheryl. Dawn was upset he hadn't told her, because Cheryl is her best friend now. Dawn said she had to talk to her.

Donna told Cass and Nicole to run along and check the notices. Michael told Donna he believed in Lisa. That Old Carrot suggested that Victoria wanted to live because of something important left undone.

Dawn tracked Cheryl to Mary's Place. She told her she wouldn't have hurt her. Cheryl told her she'd broken up with Scott because she couldn't sleep with him. Dawn perceived that Cheryl wasn't entirely over Scott and said she was glad she'd found out before things went too far. Enter Scott.

Cass and Nicole brought the early papers in. The notices were good. Great. Cass felt slighted because he wasn't mentioned. Nicole realised she needed money to produce her line of clothing. Cass ordered her not to get married.

Peter went in to sit with Victoria. Jamie said Victoria should never be alone. Michael told Jamie he'd move Victoria to another hospital if Dr Ungler gave them any more trouble about Lisa.

Nicole assured Cass that she didn't intend to marry a jerk. She's looking for wealthy and disinterested. Cass gazed at her oddly and left her because she was zonked. In the corridor he took out a cigarette, which he threw away quickly when Nicole popped her head out to say goodnight. When she withdrew he lit up.

Cheryl fled, leaving Scott and Dawn to thrash it out. Dawn cried. She said she couldn't date under Cheryl's nose. Scott refused to accept that.

Donna watched John pace. Michael brooded. He deduced that Victoria might have seen Donna being attacked and had sped to get help. Donna and John tried to talk him out of it.
