ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

February 14, 1986

MJ returned to Bay City without Kathleen and gave Felicia a letter.

Come into my parlour said the spider to the fly. Hollis T invited Larry in to be nice about his bad finances. He offered to pay for the info the Ewings have for Cass. Larry asked if he wanted him to sell out.

Victoria dropped in on Jake. She said she had a proposition for him.

Catlin told Neal he had a lead on the treasure and it was in Bay City still. Mac was thrilled. Catlin said the thieves were getting careless and jeopardizing the operation. Isn't that great news, Neal? Catlin said Victoria's fence had been murdered and they'd found bits of the treasure in his safe. Neal suggested that the stones had been fenced before the thieves fled. Mac can't stand the thieves. Catlin said they'd be looking for a Bay Citizen with money to burn.

Jake asked for elucidation. Victoria assured him it wasn't that sort of proposition and after much desultory chat offered him her trust fund as a loan. He refused. She reminded him he'd promised Marley he'd have the Plains Motel by the time she got back. She wants to help. She suggested he get Mac to back him through his connection to Marley to Peter to Cory. Jake is less than optimistic. She told him to get his act together and show Mac he could run a disco. He said he appreciated this. What are friends for?

Sally and Felicia and MJ are unhappy because Kathleen's not coming. MJ is not looking forward to telling Cass. Felicia bitched about Martin but refused to postpone the wedding unless there's no other way. Wouldn't it be fun to get married in prison and annoy the DA?

Victoria talked to Peter. He agreed to call Mac. He asked why she was doing this. She said she wanted her sister to be happy. Felicia dropped in. Exit Vic making conversation ["so, your fiancé is in the slammer"]. Felicia asked about getting married in jail. He said it was paperwork and a thirty day wait. They don't like DA Martin. Exit Felicia speaking enthusiastically of Prison Reform.

DA Martin tried to be as dead sweet as possible [not very] and tried to convince Larry that he had a right to sell his information to whomever he loved best. Martin said he wanted justice done. Larry suggested a deal. He warned the DA that the info would clear Cass. Martin offered money and said what he did with the information was his own business not Larry's. Deal?

Mac paid Catlin. Peter called and Mac agreed to speak to Jake. Neal suggested to Catlin that the fencer had been merely a local ally of the real thieves. Catlin shrugged and left. Mac sang his praises. Neal offered to help Catlin help Mac. Mac said he'd talk to Catlin.

Felicia visited Zane's cell. A neighboring prisoner recognized her. Sensation in the prison. Felicia told the prisoners of her troubles. She aroused their ire against DA Martin and got them yelling UNFAIR. The guard removed Felicia [amidst cries of "UNFAIR" and "WHAT IS THIS, SIBERIA" and "I'LL GET YOU OUT OF HERE DARLING I PROMISE"].

Larry told DA Martin about the cahoots of Carl and Daphne and the fact that she had become less than useful to him so that he wanted her out of the way. The DA said that was old news and in the letter which he had already. He got nasty about Larry's detective ability but paid him anyway. Larry asked if he would clear Cass and Martin said no. Carl is dead; Cass is alive and more interesting and going to jail. Larry removed his shirt. "What are you doing? What are you, some kind of WEIRDO?" "what's the matter, Mr. District Attorney? Haven't you ever seen one of these before? Somehow I think Cass' future just got a whole lot rosier, don't you?" "You came into my office wearing a wire?" "I wasn't just showing you my undershirt." Cass and Wally are in the van listening. There are incriminating words on tape. Larry invited Cass up.

Jake was thrilled to be meeting Mac. He misses Marley. Vic's pulling for him. She offered to play Marley for Felicia's wedding. He was not amused. He was kind and said he'd always care about her and didn't want to hurt her. They're friends. Exit Vic. She leaned against his door and whispered that she loved him so much.

Dee visited Zane in chokey and asked if they should cancel the wedding. He said not until he'd heard from Wally. She bemoaned the lack of romance in her own life. Zane said she was a late bloomer like he was and look how great he has it now. She's looking forward to the jail bits.

Wally: hello Mr. Martin. I told you someday we'd get the upper hand. Cass: and what an upper hand this is. You see, we've got these copies of these tapes here. Hollis: sit down. Wally: we thought you might like to hear some highlights. Cass: maybe we should cut an album, Wally, what do you think? Wally: DA Martin's greatest hits. Cass: DA Martin sings for everyone. Cass demanded the charges against him dropped and Zane out in time for his wedding in exchange for the suppression of the tapes. The DA said he was going to sleep on it, having until tomorrow to decide. Exit Martin. Our heroes fumed and fussed.

Neal played up to Bridget. They talked about Scotland. Enter Victoria. Exit Bridget. Neal told Victoria about the jewels and her fence. She pretended disinterest. He told her about the police looking for someone with sudden money. He asked for the truth.

Felicia began canceling the wedding. MJ and Sally are with her at the Northwoods Inn. Life is a mess. Enter Martin. Felicia told him he wasn't welcome there ["get out, Martin"] and leapt for the linguine. She dumped it on his head.

Victoria asked what he thought she'd done. He said she should trust him. She told him she'd been trying to use him to get over someone and it hadn't worked. So goodbye. Exit Victoria.

Cass & Wally went to see Zane. They hope if Felicia's nice to the DA he'll be in a good mood when he decides.

MJ and Sally had to hold Felicia back to prevent further damage.
