ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

November 13, 1984

Ben is utterly distraught. He's haunting the hospital corridors instead of going to the football game. (This is a last chance football game.)

Donna is worried about Marley. She wants to visit her.

Kathleen shut herself up in their room and refused to be Cecile until Cass promised to give her a night on the town (she was annoyed because she has to eat alone) and put it in writing. He asked why she settled for just his company when before she's always held out for big things like the presidency of Winthrop publishing. Quoth Kathleen: it was the only thing left.

Catlin and Sally are much impressed by the hotel. Catlin doesn't feel quite at home dressed up but he'll live. Sally was surprised to see Kathleen eating alone and would have approached her but Cass prevented her.

Alice is a mess. She's crying and crying and crying. Mark's not doing very well. She is saying unintelligible things.

Donna is still concerned. She wants to see Marley. She said she needs to see Alice. She wants to shut her up about the room. Peter says it's monstrous that Donna was forced to stay down there when she was pregnant. Brian says if Donna were Marley's mother she'd be let out to see her but since she's not it's impossible.

Peter told Alice that Donna wants to see her. Alice was not inclined to do so but Peter talked her into it.

Alice stepped out for a minute and Sally called and left a message saying she was safe in Palma and a phone number where she could be reached.

Sally and Catlin decided that he wasn't going to go leaving her behind on account of danger anymore. And they said something about growing closer through all the trouble they've been through together. They got up to dance.

Cass bullied waiters about the insignia on the pouch.

Ben says Marley is scared to death. The general consensus seems to be that Marley is "Plucky". Hunt arrived to see how Marley is doing. He mentioned the game to Ben and how they had needed him (nicely, not sarcastically) and Ben threw him up against a wall and ranted and raved.

Catlin and Sally danced on a very open space outside. To Julio Iglesias. They then returned to dinner. Sally made him promise they'd always be close and share things. They decided it was perfect. Sally feels sorry for Kathleen. They've picked up on her "Case on Cass". Cass hasn't. Sally went to the powder room. Catlin saw the insignia on a handkerchief and followed the bearer thereof (without Sally). Cass pursued a rather rotund German gentlemen who spoke to Kathleen. He was then pushed along a corridor by couple of goons.

Marley is scared. But holding up. Ben is agitated and directing most of his anger at Hunt. Hunt went to see Marley. She was unthrilled to see him. He said he was so sorry.

Alice went to see Donna as requested.

Sally is worried about Catlin. She don't know where he is.

Kathleen is talking to herself. The criminal with no sense of fashion offered her a bottle of champagne. He didn't want her to leave but she declined.

Donna denied shooting Mark. She said vague things about protecting someone who is innocent, leading Alice to believe that she meant Catlin. Alice got hysterical but Donna shut her up. Donna asked Alice not to tell anyone about the room. Alice was reluctant (understatement. Understatement.)

Sally is upset that Catlin isn't there. Kathleen is not as worried about Cass. Not obviously. Catlin arrived with his tux slit to ribbons and with no further information for his pains. Sally lit into him for going off without her and was not appeased by his explanation. She went into the bedroom and shut the door. (With something approaching finality.) Kathleen got a phone call about Cass and left in a hurry. "Don't wait up" she told Catlin.

Sally's message for Alice was not at the nurses' station when Alice returned.

A sinister woman wearing a ring entered Mark's room and pulled the plug on him. He's dead. (It was Emily. I know it. Everyone else is accounted for.)
