ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

August 11, 1986

Jake: Hey, you forgot to lock your door, I'd be very careful about that, there's a maniac out here, I'm telling you. Marley: a MANIAC? What fun. Oh, no, Jake, it's only you.

The doctor said Zane wanted to talk to Felicia. Everyone charged her with loving messages.

Michael told Donna sharply to get out of there. She screamed and fainted. She sobbed and apologised and recalled her father informing her that only animals lived in stables. As she regained consciousness Michael soothed her with assurances that he would protect her from Brandon Reginald. Bouleversée is an understatement.

Felicia chatted to Zane. He is not up to sparkling conversation. Like every other fatally wounded person on the face of this earth he knows that he won't make it and is magnificently Resigned. Felicia refuses to admit he won't live to see Florida by golf cart.

Donna insisted that it had to be a dream. Michael's speaking silence is convinced her Brandon Reginald was yet another Lazarus. Adam explained that it was a plot. (For some reason he did not say fiendishly cunning.) Michael said he'd needed people to think he was dead for some reason. Donna spotted the flaw in this argument right off. ("But he WAS dead," she said.) Michael apologised for not telling her before but he didn't want him to hurt her. Donna said she wanted to see Peter. Adam went to fetch him.

Marley accused Jake of liking her better pliable than feisty. He does sound cross, rather. They agreed rather crossly that they didn't care anything about anything the other did. For example, Marley said she didn't care if he wanted to make a fool of himself. He was annoyed.

Rachel admitted to Brittany that there wasn't much hope for Zane. Britt was upset but said she didn't think she could get away. She rang off and told Peter the man who had shot Zane was the one who had taken Kathleen and Cecile hostage. Peter decided to see if Cecile needed his help. She called him cruel and sadistic and sickening. He said he wouldn't be made to look a fool again and left, giving orders that she be there on his return.

The hospital is not a fun place. Mac is leading us in prayer.

Adam led Peter to Donna, without divulging the reason for Donna's weirdness.

Felicia refused to give up hope. Alarm bells went off and Felicia was removed, sobbing. She was speedily reinstated when Zane was repaired. He said he loved her and died.

Brittany showed Rachel the replica of Zane's lifesaving boat. Cass comforted Kathleen. Felicia appeared and they knew the truth. She said Zane wouldn't appreciate being mourned and wandered off. Everyone else wept. Adam asked Rachel to talk to Donna. Rachel said Mac would be better.

Peter refused to believe it. Michael attempted to reason with him. Peter said he was taking Donna home. Michael told him firmly he had to face reality tonight. Peter said he'd prove him wrong. Mac and Rachel arrived. Mac told Peter that Brandon Reginald was alive. Donna said he wanted to punish her.

Marley and Jake are extremely cross and quarrelsome. He said she was trying to see how far she could push him and she said she had a right to say what she felt and he said he had a right not to like it. "FINE." "FINE." "FINE." He asked how he was making a fool of himself. She said SAMANTHA HOUSTON. He accused her of not liking him hanging around other women. She said she didn't care two figs who he hung around. He said he'd be glad when the job was over and decided to go to sleep. She said she wasn't tired. Jake: so what do you want me to do, tell you a bedtime story? Marley: I think that is a swell idea. OK, start. Jake: Once upon a time there was this princess. Marley: that's a great beginning. Jake: as a matter of fact she looked a lot like you. Marley: what a coincidence. Jake: blonde, blue eyes, with a HUGE mouth, very skinny, and very very very ugly. Marley: watch it, buddy. Jake: no guy in the Kingdom would even look at her, she was so ugly, SPOILED, too. I mean she didn't know what she wanted so she drove everybody crazy. "Why is this dame – " (The story was cut off abruptly when she lunged at him and soon they were a writhing tangled heap of arms and legs and giggles.) Marley: and then one day the Princess met the man that she loved and they got married and they lived happily ever after. Jake: that's a great ending. Marley: and everybody who used to say bad things about her was put into the dungeon. Jake: NO. Marley: even the Royal storyteller. Jake: and the next person put in the dungeon was the princess's husband because he got so tired of looking at such an eyesore. Goodnight, Princess. Marley: goodnight, frog.

Adam told MJ his loan was over and he wasn't wanted in Bay City. He hinted that he might be convinced to stay with a little persuasion. She kissed him. He pointed out that they don't date and maybe they should take up dating together. She hesitated. He assured her it wouldn't be a disaster.

Brittany thought about Peter with revulsion and cradled a gun to her bosom.

Vince admitted that he forgave Cass for being a scuzz bucket. Cass explained that he meant he found him acceptable. Mac and Rachel arrived to report on Brandon Reginald. Felicia overheard them say he was responsible for Zane's death and went nuts.

Brandon Reginald was brought in to see his chillun.
