ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

October 9, 1987

Cheryl was too busy to talk to Scott. Cass dashed in.

Mac had something objectionable in Brava pointed out to him. He summoned Sam.

Lisa tried to get Michael to go home but he said he wanted to be there if Victoria regained consciousness. She came across Jamie. He told Michael and Donna Victoria's condition was the same, but he has a problem.

Sam bitched about Mac. He has no idea what he's done. Amanda was left in charge. Exit Sam. Enter Julie Ann. Amanda phoned Rachel to ask what was wrong. Rachel didn't tell her.

Scott insisted on talking to Cheryl first. Cass chatted up Ada. She served him the Riesling he likes (he found it too sweet but didn't let on to her). He needs girls for Nicole's fashion show. He asked Ada's help. She told him he was coming off the spool. She gave in.

Scott told Cheryl he was seeing someone else. She didn't want to hear about it.

Michael and Donna told Jamie they talked to Victoria in her coma. Jamie said he thought it was a good idea but the chief of staff was down on him. Michael said he wanted on Victoria's case.

Scott told Cheryl he'd always care for her. She said he didn't have to let her down gently. She got a little teary and fled.

Mac sorted things out with his advertisers. Exit Chuck and Jerry. The problem appears to be not in Brava, but in a newspaper article which quotes Sam as saying Brava shouldn't rest on its laurels. Rachel tried to convince Mac that he shouldn't fire Sam.

Cass phoned Julie Ann to ask her to model. Amanda told her to phone Mac to say she had a message for Sam, which, knowing Mac, would cause him to tell her his grievance against Sam. It almost worked, but Sam arrived and Mac hung up. Amanda wanted to rush home but Julie Ann pointed out Mandy Ashton didn't live there.

It hadn't occurred to Sam that a reporter from the Tribune wasn't asking him questions for the good of his health. He apologised. He said he thought Brava needed a new cover. (It wasn't all that long ago they switched from Cosmo with the heading covered.) Mac said the old cover had served them very well. Enter Rachel. Sam told her they'd better come clean.

Cheryl collected herself and thanked Scott for telling her. She went to talk to Cass before he could tell her the rest. Cass asked Cheryl to model. He told her Barbara Van Arkdale had called Kathleen bourgeois and provincial and they were going to sting her. Cheryl told him to count her in. Exit Cass. Cheryl admitted to Ada it wasn't easy for her to hear Scott was seeing another.

Nicole assured Michael and Donna everything would be fine. Donna told her to go to the fashion show. Exit Nicole. Enter Adam. He asked Donna for a description of the man who had attacked her. Donna stared helplessly. Michael wouldn't let her let it go. Donna couldn't tell Adam anything. She burst into tears. Michael gave her to a nurse. He told Adam the attacker had tried to tear Donna's clothes off. Adam promised to do his best to do his duty. He asked Michael if he ever regretted having come to Bay City. Michael said not for a minute. Adam said he kinda knew what he meant.

Everyone made fun of Zack and his chicken lady.

Mac let Sam off with a warning. Rachel prevented Sam confessing. She took Mac off to dress when Sam started in about the cover. (There is no reason to change covers every ten seconds. What about the recognition factor?) Sam showed himself out.

Jamie brooded. He and Lisa discussed Victoria's coma.

Cass filled his accomplices in a little.

Peggy was the leading ribber. Colette arrived in tears. Tony and Scott and Adam stared as Zack leaped to her aid. Peggy was disgusted.

Amanda told Mac she agreed with Sam. She said Brava wasn't eye-catching enough. Mac and Rachel quarrelled about which of them she was more like. Neither wanted to lay claim. (And do we blame them?)

Lisa told Jamie she'd been feeling a little psychic about Victoria lately. She promised to do everything she could to help him.

Donna told Michael Marley had called to say she was on her way. He told her she wasn't to blame because she'd given Victoria the car. He asked why Peter had said she'd gone to ask John to stay when he [Michael] knew she wanted him [John] to leave. Donna said she'd wanted John to stay for his [Michael's] sake. Michael suggested that she'd asked Victoria to visit John for her.

Isadora is dead. Colette needs no more lawyer. Zack offered to be a comfort instead. She kissed him. Cass made certain Rachel and Mac didn't see Ada. She's to be a dresser. Cheryl and Julie Ann went to get ready. Ada has to get in costume.
