ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

November 9, 1984

Alice got to Peter's apartment and found Mark shot and unconscious, with Donna hovering around dazedly holding a gun. She called the police and an ambulance. Donna's voice was decidedly odd. (Donna: Alice, you can't call the police. Alice, I know what this looks like, Alice, I didn't do it. I didn't do it, Alice." AND MORE OF THE SAME in her incredible dazed childish voice. Her clo'es were all wrong too. Very unDonna.) Alice wouldn't let Donna leave. (Donna is utterly out of it. She's at the stage where she can't quite stand up and she's sort of knuckling her way around the furniture.)

Kathleen has managed to impersonate a stewardess to get on the plane with Cass. She left a message for Felicia asking her to go out with Tony Jones. Instead. At first our beloved Tuna was unenthusiastic. But then he found out who she is and dissolved in rapture. (He's read every single one of her books. So has Rocco.) Felicia was flattered no end. And very much desirous of dining at Tallboys.

Catlin and Sally have a couple of stolen suitcases. They're locked. Sally was a bit weird about having stolen of them ("There are two people out there somewhere with nothing to change into." She is so strange about clothes.) until Catlin proved conclusively that "Stealing a suitcase is bad, but getting toughed up with a machete is worse." And they had to change their clothes in order to avoid recognition and subsequent toughing up. Sally professed not to know how to pick locks. (Catlin: you knew how hot wire a jeep, didn't you? Sally: well, Phil taught me how do that. Catlin: well, then let's give Phil a call and see what he knows about suitcases. (Pause.) Who is Phil anyway? Sally: [almost mumbling] a guy I used to know. Catlin: Sounds like a real classy fellow. (I disclaim all knowledge of any one called Phil in Sally's enigmatic past. Cecile had a Phil once but I don't think Sally ever came in contact with him.) Eventually Catlin knocked them about with a hammer until they opened, yielding 2 [two] bullfighters' outfits and 2 [two] monks' habits.

Commotion at Peter's apartment. Mark was carted away. Alice is distraught. (Aw, come on Alice. What's one Mark Singleton, more or less?

Cass [dressed as a woman] trying to hit on a stewardess. Kathleen intercepted it. CASS AND KATHLEEN ARGUING (what else?). She accused him of having no heart.

Felicia and Tony at dinner. SMALL TALK. He was evasive about his work. Grant and Quinn are having dinner together. Grant has big plans for Tallboys. Lily's coming with a date. By all accounts he is a geek. Felicia spied them and rushed to the table. She is concerned about Lily and Grant. Wallingford arrived and told her who Tony is. She is unthrilled.

Catlin and Sally tried the bullfighter clothes on. Sally's fit fine but Catlin's caused him to make disparaging remarks about the height of the owner . He's too tall for the clothes, peggoor sweggeet. (Sally: uh-uh. You can't kiss a toreador. Catlin: Why not? Sally: We have a very strong union.) Sally said he looked great but he said she was out of her mind so they put on the monks' habits.

Spanish beating up of the old man. He told Ross where Catlin and Sally are. (Of course they don't say Catlin and Sally. They say "The two Americans" or "Ewing and the Frame girl" or "Seņor Ewing and his girlfriend." And they don't let on they're going to "Tough them up" with machetes. O no. They're really sneaky. They "pay visits." In fact they pay little visits. How very sinister.)

Donna and MJ talking. Donna says the door was open so she walked in and picked up the gun. She swore up and down that she didn't do it. (A bit feeble but I believe her.) MJ arrested her. Peter arrived

Mark's in bad shape .

Peter asked Donna unwell what's going on. He's beginning to doubt her innocence. Donna is falling apart. She's whimpering.

Felicia went back to dinner with Tony. He wants an introduction to Lily. Wallingford marched in and claimed to be Felicia's husband to get her away from Tony.

Felicia and Wallingford and Lily ate dinner together. Wallingford knows Lily's the owner of Tallboys. (Wallingford and I don't have any secrets from each other, do we, Wallingford? Said Felicia.) Lily's displeased but unhysterical. She went back to her date. Wallingford was very FLATTERING. Lily & George went to the Warehouse. Quinn asked Grant to take her home.

Alice is berating herself for getting slightly unhinged when she saw Mark.

Toreador and matador clothing strewn about the floor. Catlin and Sally are escaping. (Catlin is showing a good six inches of jeans and boots beneath the hem of his habit.) Ross and his men couldn't find them in the house and set out in pursuit.

Grant took Quinn home, all right. He KISSED HER AT THE DOOR and I'm fit to kill. It's making me sick to see all these males eventually flocking to Quinn. She's not that deserving.

Felicia is none too pleased with Kathleen for setting her up with Tony. Wallingford put forth the theory that Kathleen has got a thing for Cass and was trying to help him. (Applause for Wallingford's perspicacity.) They're afraid Cass borrowed money from Tony.

Cass put MENS' clothing on, confusing the stewardess. (To put your mind at rest he didn't actually change in front of her.) They're landing on Majorca now.

Catlin's Spanish vocabulary is increasing minute by minute. He has collected his wits sufficiently to say "Por favor" and "Muchas gracias". The criminals caught sight of them. They ran like hell (with Sally attempting to make an untimely detour for water) until they thought they had escaped. Ross chose this moment to throw a knife at them. It embedded itself in the wall behind them (much to their surprise) while Ross stood snickering by.
