Michael advised Donna not to interfere in Marley's life. He didn't approve of Marley's being allowed to hide in the beach house. Marley came downstairs.
Cass found out that something of Mac's had been sold. Nicole came downstairs without lipstick. Cass admired her anyway. She said she had a meeting with a new accountant but could she could throw the accountant over if Cass wanted to talk. Cass regretted he was too busy. Enter Drew, raring to account. Cass stomped out.
Rachel waited for word on Amanda. Cass phoned. He told Mac that Buckner and Klein-Schmidt had sold its Cory stock to Bennett. Mac said he should come over.
Sam had to make Amanda breathe. He nearly cried seeing her in such pain. Ronnie had him removed from the room.
Marley told Michael she couldn't have Jake confusing her all the time. He told her that he understood the need for order but that order could be lonely. He advised her to work things out with Jake. She said Jake pressured her too much.
Drew produced waiters and a fancy breakfast. Nicole did not pull a ripe plum. She didn't appreciate his neglecting her business when his business had been important enough to interrupt their picnic. He kissed her neck. She fled. He bided his time.
Ronnie gave Sam a little bourbon to drink. She keeps some on hand for the fathers. She assured him his reaction to seeing Amanda in pain was normal and he shouldn't be ashamed. She left him to recover a while.
Tracy got a job at Mary's Place. Matthew teased her about having to work for his grandmother. She asked him to the U2 concert, her treat. He said he'd take her to dinner first and ask Kevin. She wasn't thrilled about the Kevin part. Matthew said they could double and set about locating a date for Kevin.
Mac tried to reassure Rachel. Rachel told him to concentrate on work. Cass arrived. Rachel made herself scarce.
Ronnie tried to take Amanda's mind off the pain and Sam's absence. Sam rushed in and helped. Amanda went into transition. Sam went to scrub.
Matthew was mad because the party phone refused to help him find the girl he wanted [Riviera, I assume] or to call him if she called in. Tracy was snippy because of his excessive interest in Riviera. Matthew was puzzled.
Michael let Marley go. Donna came down. She said she'd heard Marley's side and she was convinced that Jake was at fault. Michael said Jake should have the opportunity to defend himself. Cass phoned and asked Michael to come to Mac's. Jake came in. Michael said he'd be over soon. He asked Donna to leave him and Jake alone. Jake told Michael he hadn't done anything. Michael told him not to interpret Marley's departure as permanent. Smiling, he warned Jake that if he toyed with Marley he'd break both his arms. Exit Michael. Donna pounced on Jake and told him she wasn't as patient or as understanding as Michael and she wanted to know what he'd done to Marley.
Crowning. Sam encouraged. Amanda pushed. A baby was born. A girl. The nurses bundled her up and gave her to her parents.
Cass, Michael, Zack, and Mac conferred. They are afraid Bennett has too much money. Michael suggested Matt get his shareholders to circle the wagons. He advised him to take someone to Europe. Cass phoned the design house. Nicole was changing so Drew answered the phone. Cass hung up and told Matt he'd go. Rachel skipped in with news of Amanda's baby. Mac rushed off with her.
Mac yelled to Matthew about Amanda's baby on his way to the hospital. Matthew called the party phone to tell everyone. Riviera was glad to hear it. She was doing her nails. She seems [to me] rich and pretentious, or at least hung up on that sort of thing. She hung up. Matthew banged his head against the phone and noticed Tracy had gone.
Deprived of their baby, Sam and Amanda admired her footprints. Mac and Rachel came in. There was much rejoicing. Ronnie threw Mac and Rachel out. Mac told Amanda he had to go to Europe. Ronnie brought the baby in.
Nicole came downstairs dressed and was disappointed to find Drew hadn't left. She told him she liked him and she appreciated his help but she couldn't involve herself with him again because Cass was in her heart. Drew said he wouldn't give up. He left. Cass came in. Nicole said, "Drew?" before she turned around.
Donna told Jake Marley wasn't like Michael and she didn't forgive betrayed trust easily. He told her to tell Marley to come back to him. She refused. She said she liked him but she LOVED her daughter.
Mac was excited about the baby. Rachel was sorry he had to go. She chased him through the house when he called her granny.
Sam and Amanda called the baby Alexandra, after Mac's mother. They didn't mention Sandy and Alexander. They are a family.
An unknown Josie Watts went through the credits [played by Alexandra Wilson], higher up than Tracy. Contract? Who is she? Riviera?
