Michael dragged Donna inside and told her to be quiet. She demanded to know what was going on.
Peter and Brittany arrived at Mary's Place before Mac and Rachel. Brittany said she wanted to phone Bridget and make certain she used powder on the baby's rash. Peter said Peter Reginald was not at home. She got upset.
Before Ludwig had a chance to shoot Cass and Kathleen he heard a noise. He demanded that the person make himself known. Lurking Adam and MJ proceeded. Ludwig turned his attention from the noise. He promised to spare them if they told about the trump. Kathleen said they knew nothing. Felicia prayed for rocks. Cecile claimed to know nothing about the trump. Cass offered the diamonds. Ludwig was not pleased. MJ summoned help. Cass told Ludwig he was surrounded.
Donna searched for the other woman. Michael phoned Blade and told him it was all right and asked him to come over to watch Donna. Donna raved at him. Her evidence is two towels. He told her she was irrational and she should go home. She refused. He attempted to reason with her.
Peter reminded Brittany to call the baby Peter Jr. He said she had to be nice or she'd never see Peter Jr again. He ordered a drink. Vince told Ada he wouldn't serve that man. Ada made him. Peter went out to the car.
Donna calmed down. She asked if he couldn't protect her better himself. He said not and was about to turn her over to Blade. Then he decided to refuse to let her out of the room.
The Corys joined Brittany. Peter returned and was jolly. Brittany put on a brave front and chatted about Peter Jr when questioned.
Zane reached Felicia. Felicia explained that she'd been chucking rocks to distract Ludwig. Ludwig called out. He took Kathleen and Cecile as hostages. Zane decided to sneak up on them. Kathleen yelled. Felicia called out to her. A shot rang out. Zane made Felicia lie low. Ludwig shoved Kathleen into the car. MJ told Adam they had to make their move. Adam announced he was surrounded. Ludwig threatened to kill Kathleen.
Donna was confused and then suspicious. She accused him of not wanting her to see someone in the hall. He locked her in the bathroom. She declared them finished and yelled at him. Then she started hitting him. Then she decided to Stake Her Claim and stay all night regardless. She said she'd yell if he tried to throw her out.
Vince is worried about his visible daughters. Peter chided Brittany on her poor performance. He threatened to send Peter Reginald on an extended vacation. She wept and promised to do anything. He was pleased. When Mac and Rachel appeared Peter announced they meant to have another child.
Commotion. Gunshots. Zane was shot. Felicia sobbed and called for help. Zane tried to reassure her. The police called for an ambulance and arrested Cecile.
Michael offered to massage Donna. No tricks. Adam phoned to say the Vulture could be charged as an accessory to the probable murder of Zane. Michael hustled Donna out.
Zane is in bad shape. MJ told Cecile she was responsible for that .
Peter pressed Brittany to corroborate his story. Rachel suggested they go to the ladies' room. Peter apologised for letting their plans out too soon but asked her to back him up. She agreed.
MJ phoned Vince to say they were all safe except Zane.
Peter went back to being jolly and drinking. He said Rachel seemed odd and asked if Brittany had upset her in the ladies' room. Rachel said Mitch had upset her. Mac rushed up and said they had to go to the hospital.
Zane told Felicia he loved her in the ambulance and said he loved everything about her and in spite of all the disapproval of her interference in things he loved that too. He's having difficulty speaking. (He's going to look awfully silly if he survives.)
Brittany asked Peter to tell her where her baby was. He said she was still too hesitant. He told her Peter had been home since eleven o'clock. She said she wanted to go to the hospital. Peter said they'd discuss it in the car and went to phone Miss Weston. Brittany rushed up to Catlin and said it was awful about Zane. He snapped at her and accused her of not caring about anyone but herself. (This does not bode well. If he marries her again I shall be sick and hope her life will be more miserable than with Peter.) He told her he was ready to be the baby's father at any time but he was through with her.
Michael told Marley Donna was on her way back. He found the Vulture gone and said they had to find him.
Felicia prayed for Zane's recovery.
