ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

April 7, 1986

Nancy put her foot down. Rachel supported Ada. Nancy said nobody could make her do anything.

Felicia was frisked for weapons. The policeman asked her what she was doing. She [inspired] said she was looking for Halley's Comet. He said this area was a favorite haunt of hookers and told her to go away. She protested but he sent her away.

Wallingford and Carter had to contend with a dog.

Cass was found to be clean. They resumed their game. Unfortunately Cass has no way of knowing what cards the others have. He stalled. He raised $5000. $9000 to lefty. Lefty dropped out. Tony $5000. Cass $15,000. [I will never understand poker.] He has no money but he'll owe the pot. Tony protested but Lefty and Frank [who are out of it] said Cass could do that. They sploshed a lot of money in. Cass is $89,000 into the pot. Tony folded. He had 3 2s. Wallingford and Carter rejoiced. The walkie-talkie fell in the bay. Tony wouldn't let Cass not play the next game. Tony has 4 jacks. Cass has 2 3s. They made him go in debt to the pot again. Tony laughed evilly. Wally and Carter are in agony.

Felicia called Zane from a phone booth. She explained the situation and asked him to come in his car. She had to hang up before telling him where she was when the cop told her he'd recognized her as one of the women busted at the Mayfair social club.

Sally and Catlin consumed popcorn in bed. They soon gave that up. He said he loved her and he'd missed her. she said she was glad to be in her own bed again. Catlin: what are you laughing at? Sally: I was just feeling a little bit wicked, being in bed with a man I'm not married to. Catlin: well I don't blame you. Sally: you don't? Catlin: no. I think you should be ashamed of yourself. [she hit him.] But I'm going to fix that. Sally: you are? Catlin: we are going to go down to the courthouse tomorrow and apply for a marriage license [does one have to pass Exams to qualify?]. Sally: so you did sign the divorce papers. Catlin: what divorce papers? They have no idea what's going on. Their marriage was illegal anyway. They're going to straighten everything out tomorrow but now they have Better Things to do. Kevin appeared and said he was too excited to sleep. [Quoth Catlin, "yeah, I know what you mean."] He came and got in bed with them. Sally laughed.

Betting all over the place. Tony produced his 4 jacks. Cass produced 4 kings. Tony accused him of cheating. Carter and Wally cringed. Tony said "Rocco."

Ada accused Nancy of thinking only of herself. Nancy told her she took exception to being ordered around since she is 18 and makes her own decisions. Ada told her she had to have a brain to make decisions. Mercifully Rachel intervened. Exit Ada. Rachel gave Nancy a talking-to. She told her [in effect] that she had to learn to live within her means. Nancy called her a hypocrite. Rachel told her she was behaving like a baby. Nancy told her to drop dead. Mac stopped her in her tracks.

Kevin told them he'd been having bad dreams about Catlin packing his suitcase and saying, "this time I'm NEVER coming back." They assured him such dreams would never come true and gently but firmly sent him to his own bed. They promised him a new baseball bat and agreed to discuss a puppy later. They had to explain [phrasing it carefully] that married people had need of separate sleeping quarters.

Rachel left Mac and Nancy alone. He seethed and told her he supported Ada. He yelled at her. she yelled back. He said he was going to bed. She started destroying the living room.

The cop recognized Felicia as a celebrity and apologized profusely. He wouldn't let her make a phone call because of something happening in the area.

The loan sharks got ugly. Suddenly there was a raid. Cass scooped up a lot of money and fled. Carter and Wallingford rushed to Felicia and told her Cass was in the bay. She informed them that Devil's Current was in that area and not a Good Thing.

Rachel found Nancy sobbing hysterically and throwing assorted knickknacks. Nancy started the hypocrite stuff again. Loving a rich man. Rachel said she loved Mac, not his money. Nancy said all she and Ada wanted was a kid to order around. Rachel said she had other children and an entire staff to order around and she didn't like her doing this sort of thing to Ada. Nancy accused her of wanting her to play nursemaid to their sickly aged mother and take her off her hands [Ada and Mac are not far away]. Rachel denied this, saying if she thought Ada were ill she'd keep her herself and trash Nancy. Exit Nancy. Enter Ada.

Marry in haste, repent at leisure. The Ewings are getting their marriage license after they visit Kathleen. Catlin told Sally she was the only woman he'd ever love. [Oh.]

The next morning Nancy snapped at Neal. All he knows is she was upset. He called her fascinating, intelligent, adorable, and sexy. She said she had a proposition to make. She suggested they run away together. He laughed. She called him her Last and Only Hope. He said it wouldn't help. She said it wouldn't hurt.

Liz was delighted to hear Sally and Catlin's news. She chatted with Vince. Wallingford called Catlin and Sally to tell them about Cass' poker game. Catlin was bewildered. Vince was grimly unsurprised.

Zane comforted Felicia. No sign of Cass. MJ appeared with the envelope Cass had given her.

Mac is impressed with Neal for having stuck to the stables. Neal has his eyes on the Love stables as well.

Felicia opened it. It was an insurance policy for Cass' life with Kathleen as the benefish.

Ada and Nancy looked at an apartment over a bar and grill. Trains make a lot of noise. Nancy hates it. Ada took it.

The situation is beyond the clerk at the courthouse. She has to check with her supervisor. Sally suggested they give up and live in sin.

A male Caucasian has been washed up. Felicia broke down.
