Donna passed a bad night. Bridget brought her breakfast and expressed disapproval of Michael's unforgiving attitude. Donna phoned him and commanded him to collect his belongings TODAY.
Sam found Amanda at Brava and asked why she'd left the party last night.
Rachel gazed into space thinking about Jamie and the farm. Mac said he didn't want to tangle with the Frames. He suggested she talk to Jamie. Jason turned up on the doorstep and asked to see Jamie. Mac told him Jamie was at work. Rachel invited Jason in for coffee. Mac went to make a phone call. Jason said he never heard much from Willis and Gwen. He said he was disappointed to see Frame-Harding with its paws more or less in the air. She said it was involved in some litigation. He finished his coffee and left. When Mac returned Rachel said she thought they didn't have anything to worry about.
Amanda said she'd been tired. She refused any more help on her article. He told her he appreciated her help and support on the cover.
Donna shoved things into a suitcase. Bridget brought boxes. She warned her Michael could take this the wrong way. Donna's tired of Michael leading her on. Michael arrived. Donna yelled at him. He tried to calm her down. She told him not to give her mixed signals. She couldn't get her rings off to return to him [because her fingers are so swollen because of the baby. I guess fingers are always the first things to go...].
Amanda was kind of pleased. Sam went back to work. Liz brought Amanda a letter from the Barringtons, who had bought Sam's painting. Amanda read it and was afraid lest Sam react badly to the fact that the Barringtons are friends of her parents.
Jamie told Rachel not to buy him the farm. She said she'd buy it and fix it up for herself and Mac. A nice summer place. Mac found out $180,000 was a fair price and $190,000 too much. Rachel promised not to go above $190,000.
Vicky ran into Lisa. Lisa apologized for having fallen asleep. Vicky assured her Jamie hadn't been mad. Mary was not pleased to see Jason.
Sam lay in wait for Mac. He found Amanda's article lying around and glanced at it. He was impressed. Then he saw the Barringtons' letter and his name leaped out at him so he read it. I would have expected him to know better.
Rachel caught Jamie sneaking out with his suitcase. She suspected him of responding to Lisa's pressure.
Donna told Michael how her fingers had suffered in her first pregnancy. He told her he loved her but he couldn't live with her. She said they didn't have to be miserable. He said nothing would change, pointing out that she had claimed she wanted only him and yet when he was right there, hers, she wanted his brother. He said he didn't know how to trust her. He left. She called after him and sobbed.
Sam went in to see Mac. When he came out he confronted Amanda.
Mary was not friendly to Jason. Jamie arrived. Vicky left him with Lisa. He told Lisa he wasn't ready for marriage, but asked how she would feel about living together. She was pleased. Jason came over and introduced himself. Jamie invited him to join them but he spotted Mary and rushed back to her. Mary told him she thought he enjoyed needling her. He suggested she ask him what he knew to get it over with. She said she didn't care and was about to leave for work when Ada told her Michael had left word for her to wait there. Jason needled Mary some more.
Donna gazed at a photo of Michael and clung to the knowledge that he loved her.
Sam told Amanda he'd had it. He had been consoling himself with the thought that he had sold a painting, but now he knows she sold it.
Amanda told Mac she couldn't come to Brava every day and see Sam. She left. Mac phoned Paris.
Jamie and Lisa extended an invitation to Jason to come by for dinner. Vicky congratulated Jamie and Lisa warmly on their shacking up, but once they'd left she looked less than thrilled. Michael arrived and told Vicky and Mary she was going he was going to Japan for a few weeks on business. Rachel called and told Ada she thought the auction would be a walkover. Ada had her doubts when she saw Jason leave with determination.
