ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

October 3, 1984

MJ is mad. (Who wouldn't be? Tackling policemen are not nice things to have to deal with.) She has to tell what Larry did. There was another cop there who said that Catlin couldn't have gone far on foot. Larry said he hoped Catlin would get away to Canada. (Don't we all?)

The McKinnon father has returned. His name is Vince. (Some Irishman.) MJ's name is Michael. I foresee much merriment when this gets about. Vince has returned because "Mike" called and told him about Ben's suspension.

Sally said it was hard to say goodbye to Catlin but she is hopeful. Joyce told Sally and Alice that Catlin got away. Sally was surprised. Catlin hadn't mentioned that he meant to try to escape. She doesn't understand Larry.

Jamie offered to take the kids to a movie. It seems that Grant knows Vince. They play practical jokes on one another. Ugh. Worse than ugh.

Quinn suggested to Grant that Lily speak to the student body about vandalism and getting along with the east [or west as the case may be].

Kathleen and Felicia went to the McKinnon House. Kathleen left Felicia in the kitchen. Felicia inspected the refrigerator (surprisingly. You think she'd be wary of them by now). Vince came in and mistook her for a daughter so he slapped her behind. Felicia was taken aback but they got things sorted out.

Tom brought Cory to the hospital to see Clarice. Cory is very upset and depressed. He was vastly impressed upon meeting Carter and cheered up when Carter told him that mothers get sick and well just like everyone else. Thomasina told Carter she's nuts about him. He missed an elevator while contemplating that.

MJ's mad at Larry.

Sandy told Blaine about Catlin. She yelled at him and left. He got upset with Rachel.

Larry didn't tell Clarice about Catlin but she suspects something. She looks really wretched.

Tom asked Alice what she thought about her becoming a nurse. Alice said go for doctor instead. Tom is thrilled.

Sandy told Rachel off with Jamie interrupting at intervals.

Mac returns tomorrow. Rachel spends all her time fiddling with bits of paper (her sculpture. The bust of Ross is in the middle of it all.)

Felicia and Vince are getting along like ... like mad. They argued about Irish stew. Kathleen seems none too pleased to see her father. He calls her Katie. She objects. I love the way Felicia says beef chunk.

Larry has been suspended. No one is surprised. He asked Alice not to let Joyce attend to Clarice. He told MJ to check up on Joyce.

Grant sent Vince two bags of potatoes (delivered by a pair of good-looking young man). He called them Irish soul food. Ugh.

MJ seemed glad to see her father.

Rachel is alone. Everyone else is out with Jamie.

Sally went to ask Larry why he does what he does. Larry said he'd been trying to make a choice between his brother and his badge for some time and he guessed he'd made it. She asked if he thought it was the right one. He doesn't know.

Ross called Rachel. She backed away from the telephone in horror.
