ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

September 2, 1986

Mitch and the rest of the work crew dropped by the Corys'. Enter Rachel.

Donna's feeling good. Michael gave her something thrilling. He asked her to wear it for their engagement party.

Scott got change from Cheryl to make a phone call. She asked if something were wrong.

Kathleen thanked Felicia for the use of the dockhouse. Cass has gone to Chicago to cash in the diamond certificates. Kathleen told Felicia she was going to help her expose Reginald.

Marissa said she wanted to hear the Truth from Scott. That Old Carrot said he'd vanished without a trace. Scott phoned and asked where his mother was. The Carrot told Marissa it was business, and Scott she was in Africa. Scott said he was lying and he'd tell mother all about him. Mary told Reginald he'd told her only half the truth. He declared his love for her. She pushed him away. She said she loved him but she didn't know him. Exit Mary. Gomez appeared and said Peter wanted to see him.

Michael and Donna told Peter how horrible the Carrot was. Peter told them he wanted him to have his rightful place as head of the love family.

Mitch told Rachel he was working there. She ordered him out. He told her he had to have a job. She said she'd call Quinn and his parole officer. He told her he knew she and Mac were sending Matthew to school at Briarwood. She threatened to sic Mac on him.

Mac and Kathleen asked Felicia to write Bad Things about a Carrot they knew. She wavered and fell. Kathleen phoned Mrs A Nixon to ask about her mother. Mrs Nixon panicked and hung up. Felicia offered to help and rushed out.

Rachel complained to Quinn. (Mitchell Lewis (Louis?) Blake) is the full name. Quinn said if Rachel had him fired he could lose his parole.

Felicia was lucky enough to find Mrs Nixon, milliner extraordinaire and Felicia Gallant fan. She was thrilled to be asked to lunch.

When Peter arrived the Carrot stopped trying to lure Mary out of the bedroom. He told him he was leaving Bay City and displayed a tendency to want to keep Peter from seeing his wife. Quelle horrible surprise.

Scott got more change from Cheryl. When she asked if he was calling his family he informed her he had a girlfriend in an exotic locale. She subsided. He phoned Alonzo and asked to talk to his mother. He tricked Alonzo into admitting Mary was back from Africa.

Peter begged the Carrot to stay. The phone rang. Scott rang off before Mary picked up the receiver. Cheryl dropped a tray and Scott helped her pick things up.

Donna worried about her father interfering. Michael insisted on Going Public. He produced the guest list for Donna's inspection. Donna: Rachel Cory? I'm not having Rachel Cory to this party.

Mitch pled with Rachel. She was firm. He accused her of not wanting him around in case of Temptation.

Felicia took Mrs Nixon to Mary's Place. Mrs Nixon heard Kathleen's name and got upset. Kathleen and Felicia refused to let her leave without telling them what she knew. She dithered. They plied her with pie. Felicia pled with her.

Donna refused to have Felicia either. Michael: Donna, look. Mac, Rachel, Felicia, the McKinnons – these are the good guys, these are the guys in the white hats. Donna: I like Mac. Michael: okay, look. The Love name has a bad reputation in this city and it's all because of your father. He is the Black Hat. Donna: but my whole family shouldn't have to suffer because of my father's sins. Michael: that's exactly right. So we're going to put an end to eight generations of elitism and snobbery with the marriage of Donna Love to her stableboy. Donna: wait a minute -- what do you mean by elitism? Michael: it really doesn't matter. The point is that we are now going to be the White Hats. Are you with me? Donna: darling, I'm always with you. Michael: Felicia Gallant? Donna: Felicia Gallant. Michael: Mac and Rachel? Donna: OF COURSE invite Mac. But do we HAVE to invite Rachel?

Rachel told Mitch she felt nothing for him. He disputed it. He pulled a Harlequin prove-I-don't-affect-you-by-letting-me-hang-around. She fell for it. Enter Mac.

Mary told the Carrot if he loved her he wouldn't lie. He swore not to lie any more.

Mac had the situation explained to him. He objected. Mitch said Rachel had said he could stay. Rachel assured Mac Mitch would behave himself and not upset her.

Michael tried to advise Peter about Reginald. Donna supported him.

The Carrot told Mary he had hidden gold in Bay City and come back now to protect it. He claimed he discovered it had been stolen. She said she'd try to forgive him. He told her she loved him. She asked him to say he wasn't capable of anymore lies.

Mrs Nixon asked them to call her Alice. Kathleen asked if her mother had been having an affair with Reginald before she died. Alice said it might have been the cause of her death.

One of Mitch's fellow parolees accused him of being after Rachel.

Rachel denied being affected by Mitch. Mac agreed to let him stay but he warned Rachel.

Peter refused to come to the engagement party. Brittany is still locked in her room. He suggested they invite the Carrot. Exit Peter. Donna worried about That Old Carrot coming. Michael reassured her.

Mary whimpered and refused to be enfolded in Reginald's repulsive embrace. He yelled for Gomez and told her to close the Hacienda secretly. He's going to relocate and pick a new identity.

Mrs Nixon said she'd overheard the lovebirds quarrelling. Mary was Ending It All. Reginald was angry. Mary died.
