ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

June 1, 1987

Lisa and Adam tried to puzzle out the killer's motives. Adam told her every advance they'd made in the case had been due to her. Lisa got it into her head that he'd found a pure woman to suit him. Adam wondered who.

Dr Glaser thought lovingly about his preciousss. He has a plan to spirit her away from the undeserving.

Lisa forced Adam to eat breakfast with her. He was quite overcome to find she had included Spanish Omelet in the deal. His favourite, one perceives. (Too, too sick-making.) She denied him coffee. (At this point the sound began flipping out at intervals, interspersing the dialogue with odd music and talk about 'totally obstructed . . . heading for target zero . . . bowels negative throughout.') Adam was too civil.

MJ fretted. Chad came over all determined and protective and stupid. He has $30,000 only, and yet when MJ said she could kick in a certain amount he refused it. WHOSE HEAD IS FULL OF COTTON, HAY AND RAGS HERE, PROFESSOR HIGGINS? Big man, is Chad. He made rash promises. MJ said she had to be hopping. Wallingford pirouetted in singing 'I got the horse right here/His name is Paul Revere/And there's a guy who says that if the weather's clear/Can do, can do/This guy says the horse can do.' Chad showed a marked interest in Wallingford's claim that he was going to win very money at the track. Sara wouldn't let him explain to MJ. MJ made for the door. Chad told her he loved her and wanted her to get that future. He said he'd call her at headquarters if anything happened. She said she'd be at Adam's wicked bachelor pad so she should call him [Chad]. Exit MJ. Sara expressed concern for Chad. Chad told Wallingford he wanted to bet $2,000 on Nasty Norma to win. Sara was alarmed.

Reginald taunted Donna with the knowledge that he secret must come out eventually. She dared him to tell Michael. He said he wouldn't have to be the instrument of her downfall. Michael showed up.

Cheryl attacked Mary for her affair with Reginald. Mary said she was old enough to understand. She doesn't remember, but since all reports agree that she was having an affair, she must have been unhappy about something in her life with Vince. But she doesn't remember. Cheryl said she wasn't sure she could forgive her because she hadn't had a mother. Mary told her her life wasn't so bad. They argued. Vince and Becky came in. Vince noticed the strained atmosphere.

MJ dropped in on Adam bearing -- quelle horrible surprise -- Spanish omelet as a peace offering. Adam said he'd eaten earlier -- vair' apologetic. MJ was not thrilled to hear Lisa had had a hand in it. He soothed her with kisses and things.

Michael told Reginald to beat it. Jamie rolled up and reinforced him with an air of quiet authority. Exit Reginald. Donna told Michael she had something to tell him. Michael told her she could tell him anything but Jamie summoned him from her side.

Jamie asked John if he could see anything. John breathed heavily with the exertion. He's in pain. With a full head of hair, even. Jamie assured him he might see in time. Michael and Donna made encouraging noises. John was unfriendly.

Vince sent Becky out. Cheryl didn't want to talk about it. Vince sent her out so he could talk to Mary alone. Mary yelled at him. She said Cheryl's resentment had to be expressed. She said he and MJ had resentment, too.

MJ described to Adam them as a little old married couple. Rocking chairs and corncob pipes entered into it. Rustling. MJ thought about Chad's promise earlier. Adam accused her of being distracted. She said they had to set a date. He promised as soon as he solved the case and went to shower.

Wallingford and Chad clustered around the radio. Norma and Hanover, photo finish.

Mary made Vince talk. He said at first he'd been angry enough to kill, but he'd calmed down now and begin to hope for a future. Cheryl came back to apologise. Mary said they might have a chance for that family they wanted. Vince said he liked having Mary there. A phone call came.

Donna reassured Michael about John's sight. Michael said John was behaving oddly. He remembered Donna had had something to say. She said it could wait but he insisted.

Mary said Zack had said Becky could stay if Mary and Vince were living together in a permanent kind of way. Vince asked if she wanted to move in. Mary asked if he wanted her to move in.

Hanover won. Chad collapsed in despair. Wallingford rejoiced. He had, with uncommon good judgement, put Chad's money on L. B. Hanover instead. Incidentally Nasty Norma was 10:1, whereas Hanover's odds were 12:1. Bigger payoff. Chad was stunned. Everybody cheered. Lisa (thinking Chad had lost) was surprised and wondered if Chad could be in love. Suddenly she concluded that the killer had found a woman to love.

Gollum time. Dr Glaser opened a cabinet., wherein resided a photograph of Lisa, whom, apparently, he has always loved.
